X10 units
Hi, As I'm replacing X10 devices by Zigbee Devices, I have a number of home build units lying around. For an enthusiastic X10 fan who has knowledge of programming PIC devices (assembler), these devices could be a nice way to build his own X10 function. Here you can find more information about the de...

Re: Motion sensor directly to device or throught software?
Hi, In general, but not applicable to toilet light control, advantages of control by software are: - more flexible (easier to change on-time) - knowledge of daytime (sun up/down), or information from light sensor - control of light during absense I'm now using X10 light sensor to control some lights...

Re: Zigbee project creation and addressing
Hi, Devices can communicate with each other if they are on the same channel, and use the same PanId. When a Zigbee coordinator is started, it chooses a channel with the least activity (the cleanest channel). If the PanID of the coordinator is set as 0xFFFF, a random PanId is chosen by the coordinato...

Re: Marmitek MS90 sensor and SC9000: always TAMPER alarm
The tamper alarm is probably set by a micro switch inside the MS90. The switch detects that the unit is opened. You can open the MS90 and see if the switch is in its normal position.

Zigbee 12V PWM (Led) Dimmer
Hi, Years ago I struggled with building an X10 LED dimmer. ( domoticaforum.eu/viewtopic.php?f=19& ... 822#p37822 ). Things getting much better with Zigbee technology: - No need for wiring the 230V to the unit; 12V DC will do. - Smooth dimming: 256 steps instead of 20 (with X10) - Reporting of th...

Re: Zigbee HA profile
Hi, I bought my first devices from SimpleHomeNet ( http://www.simplehomenet.com ). The devices they offer are a limited set of the NetVox ( http://www.netvox.com.tw ) product list. That's why I bought other products from NetVox directly. I also bought units (Z100A) from them for DIY units (see anoth...

Zigbee Motion Sensor
Though the Zigbee forum is silent for some time, I still think Zigbee will become the dominating home automation protocol in the coming years. From a technical point of view it's perfect: very reliable, low power consumption, very well specified. I have been playing with XBee hardware for some time,...

Zigbee HA profile
Hi, I'm looking for java program support. After playing with XBee devices I completely focused on TI hardware (CC2530) as a platform for building Home Automation profile compatible devices. I bought complete devices from NetVox and build my first unit (Zigbee SimpleSensor, DeviceID = 0x000c) based o...
