Testing HCB 1.6

Postby Henk » Fri Dec 18, 2009 5:29 pm

A new version of Xanura HCB 1.6 will be released - it is mainly a maintenance upgrade of known bugs and the HCB can send its own Email and SMS messages - without involvement of the portal server. Sending SMS messages you will need an account at http://www.mollie.nl.

Any forum member with a Xanura HCB interested in testing this 1.6 version ? - send me an E-mail.

Henk,

i'm interested.
However, sending an email as stated i cannot do. You seem to not show that in your profile :-)

Anyway, curious to see the new software.

For the people who have NOT YET upgraded to 1.6, there is a new version available, 1.6.0.1026.
Note; you can not perform the update on HCB's which are currently running on firmware 1.6!

Reading the changelog it states :
Belangrijk:

That would mean : m,ake a backup ! I will try this later today. (from 6.1.1025 > 6.1.1026)

Hi All,

Seem .1026 version does not install over .1025 version.....

No errors whatsoever during the upgrade. Only empty configuration.
Version number remains .1025 in the main GUI.

Any ideas ???

GRMBLL  .. STILL

Download firmware marmitek.com/nl/software/HCB_firmware_e ... 0_1026.zip
Unzip, rename contents from .hcb to .tar.gz unpack it with 7-zip.

Look at file hcb/bin/hcb, it's Mister House script with all the copyright, author and GPL info removed.
They didn't even bother to rename the script mh_restart (Mister House restart) to something else.

Look at the rest of the GPLed files, and perl open source libraries..

They apparently forgot to remove this text from lib/http_server.pl
Code: Select all
#---------------------------------------------------------------------------
#  This lib provides the mister house web server routines
#  Change log is at the bottom
#---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Why didn't they AT LEAST retain the copyright and author information, instead of removing it and selling the work of others for a lot of euro's?
Regards, Ron.
