there was an action on samenkopen, but it ended a couple of days ago.

I'm looking for some more myself also, so if you find a good place to buy, please share :)

Maxim also has the possibility to sample them for free, but please do not abuse this wonderful service.

I bought 50 pcs DS18B20 last week on eBay.com from thaishopetc.
They were priced at $89.99 "or Best Offer".
I offered $50 to which he responded that $70 was ok.
No shipping charges and they came well packed in about a week.
He is selling the DS18S20 as well.
Buy 5 pcs, offer $8 and they will be yours for just €1,10 each!

The ds18B20 is what Maxim call "high precision" - it has 9-12 bits for temperature resolution. It defaults to 12 bits on power up but you can program it to use only 9, 10 or 11. If you set it to 9 it makes reading the temperature about 8 times faster.

The ds18S20 has only nine bits for temperature resolution. They can both work on parasite power.
