Homeseer 3, any idea when?

Hi,

Any idea when HS3 is going to be released? The original HS3 thread on board.homeseer.com is >1.5 years old and HS2 is getting close to the age of 5 years. That's pretty unique in SW history

I'm ready for some new functionality, user-interface, etc.

I've been really wanting some jquery/javascript/slick interface from day 1. The moment i saw the software the first time i used it my impression was "djeez, this looks old"

Thats why they came up with hstouch, it makes it "nice"..

Good point... The second I started using Homeseer (a long time ago) I already thought: That looks OLD!

Unless HS3 is completely redesigned from the bottom up, gets rid of the X10 legacy etcetera (I'll stop here, before being accused of being a HS basher) for plugin developers HS3 is simply bad News.

Web services will be in HS3, so you will be able to connect remotely easily with any app that supports sockets. We will be using this new interface for the speaker client on the Linux version.

Once we get an HS3 build working and the screens solidified, I will start a new HS3 thread and start discussing the new features, screen shots, etc. I hesitate to give any dates, but we are getting things together very quickly now, won't be long.

Please note that we appreciate all the feedback from our users and with this information it will make HomeSeer the best Home Automation software available.

the webservices was far overdue.. now one can also make a fancy website around it or use it from other devices. but at least its feedback.

The only thing I would like is to see some reasonable discount for current HS PRO user when buying HS3

It would be really sad having to pay the full price for HS3 after buying HSPRO a year earlier....
This would be quit a deal-breaker..
