Multiple Oregon sensors and channel selection

Post by Tozz »

I am having problems with my THGR810 sensors. I have 4 of these baby's and today I noticed that 2 of them seem to be 'gone' in RFXCOM. No reception for 3 hours. According to the sticky post its probably because their on the same channel: "The THGR810 is a 10 channel sensor and you can use 10 of these sensors without having the Communication Failure due to sensor transmission overlap. An out of range is then the most expected problem. Don't install the sensors near metal objects because this can limit the range too."

The manual of the THGR810 does not describe channel selection and does not have a channel selector switch. How can I change and/or view the channel a device is on?

You can change it but won't have any result in better receiving the sensors, the channel is just a parameter, not a different frequency or so.
