RFXCom keeps finding new Visonic sensors that I don't have..

Postby olof » Mon Apr 16, 2012 9:23 pm

For the past few days I'm experiencing a curious problem, my RFXCom Homeseer Plugin keeps finding new security sensors (Visonic?) that I don't possess..

What could be the cause of this peculiarity?
- I don't use any other security sensors than Visonic
- To my knowledge, my neighbors have not bought, installed new sensors in the last few days

Background info:
First time I noticed this was a few days ago when I added some Visonic sensors. But the list of to be added sensors was longer than what I have in number of devices.
Just to be sure I didn't miss any, I added all these sensors to my Homeseer. Please see below the STATUS page within Homeseer. The ones which names like 'A' or 'B' or the ones unknown to me
what they could be.

Then this afternoon, just to check, I noticed a new list of available sensors which could be added to my Homeseer. Please see 2nd attachment.

Versions:
Homeseer: Pro 2.5.023
RFXCOM plug-in: 15.0.0.09
RFXCOM Web pages: 15.0.0.07
RFXCom LAN type

Thank you in advance for any insight.
Olof

Don't add sensors of neighbors. Or remove the antenna from the receiver to make it less sensitive;-)
Disable X10 if you do not use X10 RF.

You should ignore unknown sensors received which is always possible.

Thanks for your quick reply.

1. Since I don't use any X10, I will kill that functionality within RF

2. I will ignore any newly found sensors from now on. The 'Undesirables'. Will be tough... I've become curious to what they could be as they are certainly not mine...

3. When I add new Visonic sensors in the near future, I guess I will have to figure out which one that could be. Hidden amongst the list of Undesirables. Will just take a bit of extra Sherlock-Holmes-time

Thanks again!

The procedure to add a sensor in the Homeseer RFXCOM plug-in is:
Click the CLR HEARD button,
Trigger the sensor to add,
Click the ADD button and almost sure you will only find this sensor now.
