Getting started - build behind existing switch(es)

Post by William.abbo »

@Goli
I wonder how HS works with this 4-way switch, does HS reconize it as 4 independent switches?
Any-one here who has tested these switches ??

@JVS
Duwi and Popp are the same.

<br />But what about the "Merten 506004 - Z-Wave zender 4-voudig"? This device could be built in behind and connected to a (impuls)switch to control other Z-wave device (for example a Duwi Z-Wave tussenstekker), right?

(I don't have one but consider buying one...)

I have tested one, but not with Homeseer.

I was only able to control 2 groups with it.

I don't know how useful it will be with Google translate, but here is my notes i Danish. http://zwaves.dk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=401

Still unwilling to expand my X10/A10 just yet, I came (by accident) on this site: http://www.smarthome.com.au/zseries/z-w ... llight.php
If I read & understand correctly they claim to have z-wave micro modules to put behind existing switches. Something to keep an eye on?

Note: Z-Wave: 921.42MHz (Australia/New Zealand)

I did not notice anything fishy when browsing to the website (using Chrome). I hope we'll hear more soon about a potential European release.
Fyi, also mentioned on this blog.
