Düwi and Berker M2

Post by martinisoft »

Just something I want to share with you.

Not to long ago I implemented Zwave in my new home.
For me it was important to be able to use the same switch material troughout the house.
At the moment of implementation there where two serious (European) options available: ACT Homepro and Düwi.
I red in the forum that I could integrate ACT Homepro with Jung CD500, but I personaly don't like the CD500 series to much and I don't like the status led in the Homepro switch either.
I really liked the look and feel of the Düwi product range, but had a serious problem with the availability of products within this range (things like blind pannels, UTP wall outlets, Speaker outlets and so on are not available).
After doing some research I found that the Berker Module 2 swich range is perfectly compatible with Düwi. There is a minor difference in the radius of the angles between the Düwi and Berker M2 products, but this difference is to small to notice.
So at this moment I am using everything I can get from Düwi (frames, wall outlets, zwave switches, senders and dimmers), and completing it with Berker M2 blind pannels, UTP outlets, speaker outlets and so on.
This worked out great, and secures my investment since Berker Module 2 is widely used and available.
So please don't let the smal product range of the Düwi Everluxe program be the reason to not go for it, together with Berker M2 the possibilities are endless.

I hope there is some value in this post for some of you..

Thanks for sharing the info.

Can you post some pictures with Berker M2 and Duwi?

Indeed thanks for posting this! Is there any color difference between the both ranges. Can you perhaps take a picture of the two side by side? I am still in doubt wether to the new Duwi BJ range or to apply the Duwi (everlux). My biggest problem with the latest that they don't have blindplates. I saw that berker has blindplates, so that would be an alternative.

At first my apologies for the late response.
Due to vacation I dit not check the forums.
I will take some pictures and post them in the upcomming week.

@ Structor, the blind plates where my biggest concern also but this is completely overcome with the berker blind plates.
I cannot detect any color difference between the berker m2 and the everluxe material.

So please stand by and I will get you some pictures..

I have the blindplates mounted in a duwi frame. And indeed the look just alike. The only thing which I don't like is that you can see a small gap on both sides of the blindplate. If I think about it i will post a picture.

Berker also has a 'opbouw' box which i've ordered and installed, since my sunscreen was not in wall mounted.

Hi Structor,

Thanks for furfilling my prommise  I was going to shoot some pictures but I've been to busy last week.
As you all can see the blindplates fit nicely in the Düwi frame. Same goes for the other available berker m2 devices.
I my self don't have the "opbouw" unit and looking at your picture the fit look acceptable but less tight than the berker devices in the Düwi frame.
