Hi Alexander i'm really interested about these devices because of my medical profession. The future is electronic stuff used to solve, control, monitor health problems.
These devices should be not invasive and give exact values.
The wifi transmission of vital data , to mobile stuff is really important but first comes a stable , meter-device.
Today i can see thousand of NOT reliable home blood pressure monitors or thermometers (ear thermometer suffering of position in the ear , front face meter not stable ecc. ecc.)
So first come clinical reliable data then its transmission , monitoring and backing-up.
Think what a blockbuster is a device that monitors the daily absumption of tablets, pills, suppositories, at the right time, the right daily frequence. and that could send the warning to the pharmacist that is the front-clinical professional for the patient.
We could call him asking, are you ok? did you forge the pill? or simply send a reminder by sms.
This needs a big job to create good somministration boxes that are prepared by the caregiver : pharmacist, paramedic people
They already exist
http://www.epill.com/medsmartplus.html but could have more features and integration with the web, data transmission etc.
Sorry for the lenght of my message
