Hard to tell, is the ventilator in aluminum box of 30 by 30 and like 15 high?
The ITHO ECO-FAN 2P
nope..
ventilation is directly mounted on the pipe.
I made lot of pictures...for installing the SAIX...none of the ventilation self.
With this system there is no need for that.
I can just connect the remote to homeseer...open the port en send the code.

SSR stands for Solid State Relay, which is what that module is.
Weedertech SSRM http://www.weedtech.com/wtssr-m.html
Price is a bit steep, but I bought it years ago when there were no other alternatives, and because Misterhouse had support for it.
I also have the io module http://www.weedtech.com/wtdio-m.html
You can stack them onto each other, using only one serial port.
btw; the '250' in the serial commands stands for 250 mS. so it will close that relay for a brief moment, no need to do this in the software, very easy.
Regards,
Ron.

OK now I see it, if the pipe is 12.5 cm (see manual ITHO) you can mount the ECO-Fan on it I guess. However you have to make some extra adjustments because the ITHO is not for outside use.

okay thanks
I have to see if there are any available products for homeseer.
Hope that other Homeseer users are also interested..
I will contact Itho and ask what the possibilities are to let it fit in my current system.

There is another cap above the whole system..
This will keep the system dry..
Hope Itho have a replacement unit...

Hello,
chak,
Place this in your startup file
to opening the compoort.
then you can send anything to the compoort.
via a script.
i use it for my wireles display's
*****Set Com port 8 open for LCD Display*****this samples are from Jon00 website
but i use it for sending messages to my display's
and works great.
so it also working for the weeder interfacing

Hi,
There are 3 mode's/positions with this unit. Is it also possible to switch it off?

In my house, it's always on (stand 1), thats why I have bought a ECO type fan, so I can save money on electricity and have a lower noise level.
I have no way to turn off, this is build this way on purpose, has to do with the way my house is isolated, and to keep a minimum airflow all the time.

There is a new remote..on this remote there is a option of away...very low (not sure maybe 100% off)

Today I wanted to measure power consumption of our 10 year old ventilation unit. I used a current clamp to measure current and it ranges between 0.12 and 0.17 Ampere (low and high settings).
Question 1: can I use P = V*I (with V being approximately 230V) to estimate power consumption to be between 27 and 39 Watt? Or is there a Cos phi to take into account? (Note: power consumption includes 2 Xanura SAX modules.)
Still, an Ecofan would probably mean a considerable saving, given a minimum power consumption of 1,6 Watt at the lowest setting.
The current unit is connected using a Perilex plug. I'm not using the mechanical switch anymore, but control it using Homeseer only. As I understand it, there are basically two options for controling the replacement Ecofan unit from a computer:
1) Use 2 Xanura modules and 2 additional relays as discussed here: http://www.domoticaforum.eu/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=804. However: the two Xanura modules and the relays together use more power than the fan itself... (But you may still use your mechanical switch and VIX/IMX10 to control it directly from the kitchen)
2) Use an Ecofan RF switch and solder wires on the contacts. Use computer controlled relays to switch these potential free wires/contacts. (For direct control from the kitchen, you may add another RF switch)
Question 2: for solution 2, did anyone try to connect the RF switch to an IPPower? I guess it would work as the setup is quite similar to RDNZL's Weeder SSR solution. I already have an IPPower running, so this solution would not add to power consumption.
Question 3: as I'm not using direct control from the kitchen anymore, there's no need to get the Perilex version, is there? And vice versa, the Perilex version with the option of wired switching does not prevent the RF solution (nr. 2), does it? (In my case, the Perilex version would be easier to instal, given the fact that the outlet is already in place).
Thanks!
Lennart

Standard its not possible to shut off the Itho. The highest and lowest position is adjustable inside the Itho. So you can set the low position to very low which is consuming only a few watts.
@chak: do you have a link for the new remote
@Lennart: Ron has connected the RF switch to the IPpower or other switching device?, is working good he told me. The RF switch using manual is also very good, never had 1 faillure. I'm planning to use the ippower for this as well soon, I also use the traditional switch in my bathroom as well, they work well together.
