Poor men's switch
Hi,
Here's a weird thought.. I was thinking about a poor mens switch for devices that I want connected to Plugwise modules.
Has anyone ever thought about joining the Marmitek KR22 (small remote) and a (for example) Jung "impulse drukker"?
Could you turn this into a combination that's SMALL and controls 2 devices (ON/OFF) for a low price? (est. KR22 19 and Jung 18)

PLUS:

Or are there any other solutions? I do have a KAKU wall switch lying around.. These are not very expensive either, but I would like to control 2 devices, or even 4 (because the KR22 does 4 devices).

Hey DJ,
I have been thinking about a similar type of project, although my idea was to entirely 'design' my own faceplate and have a metal shop make it for me and put several of these...
http://shop.conrad.nl/verlichting-insta ... bestendig/
...in there connected to a kr22- or a SlimFire remote. The whole thing would have a 'brushed metal' kind of look. I see no reason why a normal double push-button type of light-switch wouldn't work as well as long as it has the right kind of switch inside. Light-switches with 4 buttons are pretty rare although there are some around, no idea if they can be adapted.
As light-switches go, the Americans get all the fun.. Wouldn't it be nice if we had a EU version of something like this:
Some of these even light up to show which lamps are on or off. I know there are some multilamp-switches available in Europe, but to be honest most of them I don't really like or they cost 350 eur a piece...
Ciao,
Esteban

If someone needs a "faceplate" please send me a drawing, i can make them for a very small price (just material and posting costs).
I can CNC punch-press them, only stainless steel from 1,5 to 3 mm thick, with 2B or K320 or hi-gloss finish much more precise as you can drill them.
This is just for fun and the hobby, i like the ideas here.

Thanks for the generous offer Chiel, I might just take you up on that offer one of these days if I get to finalizing this project. [:)]

3d printing/cnc also might be an option to investigate.

Great for mockups and with fixation they even use it for prototyping.

@Chiel :Well i could use a faceplate for my in wall mounted lcd, wich i tried to make from mdf and some immitation foil. To be honnest without it looks better :0)
So if you are willing and got some time i would be really greatfull. What kind of drawing format do you prefer if... ?

What about the S4206 S10 Wall Scene switch it is a remote switch that can hold 31 commands for each button.
It works very good for example by the front door, when you leave the house one pusch and everything goes off.
Gr. Paul.

Or hook your "Jung" up to a Xanura IMX10, that also gives you quite a number of possibilities. I'm still looking for a good local source of the Jung stuff, getting bored of paying shipping charges.

I use the same approach as Paul. I have a simple KAKU Switch (WST-8800) near the stairs that triggers an event to either put the house to sleep or wake it up again (with all kinds of actors involved).
