@rien: miele@home capable, means it also wants a miele@home MODULE. You need to have this module in order to let it work on the powerline.

Hi Erik,

Yes, I know that now, but the salesman told me that this would work without any additions.
I guess I'll never have to trust a salesman[;)]

@Erik
No you don't need to make an appointment, you can walk in and out.
The reason that we called before was because we want to know for sure if M@H was already in the new center and if we can get any info/demo.

@Rien
As Erik mentioned before, yes you'll need to buy some 'additional' module XKM2000<b>SV</b> for the over and dishwasher, refrigerator, induction cooker and the hood (wasemkap) needs some other modules. the last one mentioned is a pricey one ~ 250 euro's. the other modules have an price around the ~ 120 euro's

@Richard: went to the center, looks really nice.. i gues there is where your money goes.. he showed me a couple of simple demonstrations where supervision was used, and where the device would indicate if a wash was done etc etc, nothing fancy though in my eyes.

I just ordered everything miele now, just to keep it simple for myself. Also included the con@ctivity or something like that, will keep my "extractor" running at a correct amount of power based on the number of pots & pans i have in use.

I got the wash done option already on my AEG laundry machine and turning it into AEG@Home system (should inform the marketing people of AEG) ..just by placing a light sensor (LDR based on a Velleman kit) on top of the panel led indication of EINDE - The output of the Velleman relay is connected to a Power flash module or alternative Visionic I/O module and it will send a laundry ready signaal by X10 to the homecontroller. I may be considering to let the controller generating a voice message .... "Schat er kan een nieuwe lading in "..... but have some serious doubts if this will be appreciated.

"extractor"
<hr height="1" noshade id="quote"></font id="quote"></blockquote id="quote">

That's the word were i was looking for [:D]

That's one of the first options we gonna purchase in the nearby feature. The SuperVision stuff is nice and funny, and at some moments very usefull (e.g. how long it take's before my dishwasher is ready, or when there is an problem inside the diswasher. blocked water arm).

The Connectivity@Home feature for the "extractor" is imo an real functional thing, and because i'm a lazy person [;)] i like this feature a lott.

yes, but dont forget the connectivity does not imply miele@home, its a seperate systems and you cant do anything with it.

I had a chat with someone from miele, who informed me that he had contact with his german friends. In the end he says it should not have a impact with Xanura couplers. They checked the information of the devices, and say that miele operates at a different mhz level so it should not be a problem.

@richard: http://www.domoticaforum.eu/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=3019

As you can see its working, on different groups, and with a Xanura filter in between in the mains (groepenkast)

I only have to get the connectivity to work, only the induction device is really big and takes some time to figure out how to mount it correctly. Also if you have a dual extractor only 1 can be attached to function with the induction cooking plate. (otherwise you would also need 2 extra devices, 1 for each extractor)

What they also dont tell you about miele@home system, for instance your cooking plate. If you have more then 3 devices connected to it, it wont work.

I have for instance, supervision connected to it, 2 extractors, 1 miele infopanel, 1 miele gateway.

Thats 5 devices! , the cooking plate only supports 3.. and then weird stuff happens like the extractor goes on or off when your cooking at strange interfalls.

Seems also that according to miele i am the advanced "end" user at the moment in netherlands :) pretty funny, i would think more people would at least buy/toy with it.

Still need to invest more time in it though, but in all due time.

What I know is that Gateway (XGW2000) is far more powerfull and stable than the Supervision. I don't know why anyone will use SuperVision if he has the Gateway

since i have a supervision oven in the kitchen, my girlfriend can look at that to see how long the dryer is still busy.. she likes it.. and with electronics/home automation that does not happen a lot. In time i might replace it with a touchscreen nearby with the same but for now it will do. (cant spend $$$$ each week)

The gateway still needs more functions imho, you can only stop devices which are in use or turn on/off the lights of the extractor. You cant do more with the devices. (turning a washer/dryer on with the gateway would have been nice)
