'Post too similar'

Postby Tozz » Thu Jan 28, 2010 12:55 am

I wanted to put my iAutomate RFID readers up for sale, but the site kept nagging that my post was to similar to other posts and I should post a reply instead. This prohibits you from posting a new thread. Giving a warning is fine, but preventing posting at all is annoying.

I think we had this discussion before, it will warn you but if you click again you can post it anyway.
It's only set to help you.....
I checked the settings again...please inform me if it's otherwise

Couldn't post my item because I ran into this horrible similar posting message. Even after a lot of clicking I could not start a new topic. Please disable this "feature" asap.

No problems here; i created a new topic viewtopic.php?f=18&t=5089, but had no problem doing that. No need to click anything, except for the submit :)

It should only be warning you, thats all. I can post them as well!
If possible come with examples and I can investigate further.
Also did not change any Forum settings for a long time.

Pieter I haven't been posting to much new post but this was the one about C++ help.
The words PLUGIN and HELP triggered over 20 lines on the bottom and did not let me post it.
I have recreated the post a few times but never got through (FF on W7)
I had to click OK but nothing happened. Very annoying feature if it works against you....
Besides that the board runs smooth :-)

With another new mail I had no trouble yesterday so it might be hard to locate the problem if it is only now and then....
i'll keep posting here if I run into it again.
