USB MTC-234

Post by Lordsauron »

Hello all,

I am new to arduino (got the starter kit 7 day's ago)
After trying the stuff in the package i got an idea. I want to be able to activate my visonic powermax pro with my computer, and i thought the arduino would be a good way to do so.
I have a spare MCT-234 so i would like to modify it. now i thought i head some one on this forum has done something like this before so i thought i'd ask if anyone could help me get started on what pins on the remote i would need to use to send the 4 signals. any way any help would be much appreciated.

I have some hi res pic's of the board:

Power over the Arduino would be a big plus but i think this can be ranged but fist i would love just to be able to hook the 4 button's up to the arduino

With IP Power I meant the IPPower thing; a box you can stick wires in for relays and stuff, IIRC; I don't know much more; and that there's a HS Plugin for it.

I wonder if it would work if i do
digitalWrite(output, HIGH);
delay(1000);
digitalWrite(output, LOW);
Or that you have to run digital 8 to the gnd (i have no idea how tho)

I'm not sure, but I think you have to shorten the wires for a short period; this can be done with a relay (Plug).
But then you have to use the battery. Check the voltage of the battery, it might work.

BTW this part of the forum is still in English.
