Rfxcom Lan transceiver moving to Homeseer

Postby mrqnapper » Tue May 29, 2012 9:47 pm

I have been using the RFXcom Transceiver in Domotiga, which worked out very well. Now I'm testing HomeseerPro to find out if it brings more for using Z-wave, and have some questions about the use of the RFXCom Lan transceiver.

1. can I use the Lan transceiver for Homeseer and Domotiga with the same software on it?

2 Can I take the settings as I have them for the devices in Domotiga als for use in Homeseer? I have a few devices, amongst others a HE remote, a few sensors, and a build in KAKU switch which I want to use in Homeseer as well. Now it would be easy if I just can take the values from the Domotiga device settings (I now receive the code from the sensor, and the remote button addresses)

Any advice on this? Thanks.

the RFXLAN can only be connected by one application.
It is easy to add devices in the RFXCOM plug-in. Check the Homeseer Quick Start Guide (in the HS docs\RFXCOM directory)

Ok, will have a look at that info. Do I have to change the software settings on the RFXcom Transceiver for use with Homeseer? I already tried to connect it in Homeseer but did not succeed yet.

you have to disconnect DomotiGa from the RFXLAN before you can use it in Homeseer.

Configure a receiver on port 10001 and transmitter (with RFXmitter and handshake checked) on port 10002

The settings in the RFXLAN are the same.

Ok thanks. I have it connected now and see already some package received info (from the sensor) popping up.

I managed to get one device working. Now I have devices build in behind a wall switch. So I tried to get the unit codes for these devices to add them manually. Now when looking in the RFreceiver I Catch the input I have from the remote (which also switches the devices) I get 0039A92 unit 3. If I receive the remote in the RFXPlug in Homeseer it will add the remote device as: AC[0E6A480]a
Now when I add a new device it gets A3 as id and after pushing the learn button on a device the address shows 1 80 00 00

Now having the 0039A92 unit 3 address I tried to input as an address code : 0 39 A9 23 Which is not working? So what address should I use there?

Can you give me some direction how to do this without opening my wall switches again :) Thanks.

I have had a look at the Homeseer/RFxCompluging/usermanual etc. But that did not help me getting this done. Any advice on how to add an address code for a device manually as I mentioned in my previous post? Thanks.

you should add a Homeseer device with device code 3 and ID 0 03 9A 92
