I know this is a bit "off topic". but I'm wondering if any member has access to a copy of the European Standard for Thermostatic Radiator Valves EN 215.
If they do, can they please let me know the definition of "response time".
Manufacturers state this as 20 minutes, 25 minutes, but no where can I find what it means. 20 minutes to do what?
All other parameters are self-defined.

Twenty minutes to change the valve position to a new steady state, after a stepwise change in ambient temperature. TRVs are slow devices.20 minutes to do what?

Possibly true; but still too vague. How, exactly, does the Standard define response time?marcelr wrote:Twenty minutes to change the valve position to a new steady state, after a stepwise change in ambient temperature.
