42" was too big for the wall in my hous..just 100cm
This one fits perfect.

I just canceled the order for the Sony KDL-40W4500 also a great TV with build in DVB-C (Ziggo)
http://www.kieskeurig.nl/product/3A0684 ... 338DE7.htm

It will be now the Philips
http://www.kieskeurig.nl/product/BE5FE5 ... 3F8D0A.htm

I'm sure I can show pictures from IP cameras on this device...maybe not streaming in beginning

Firmware can be updated via USB and it's open source...WOW Philips

At IFA Samsung also demonstrated DNLA TV's. This TV was capable of showing RSS feeds and other things from the web, besides TV.

I should choose for a quality TV and then I mean the TV screen capability, because that's what you do with the TV most of the time. In that case Philips is not a good choice. Look at Pioneer, Panasonic or Loewe, they make the best TV's. I'm dutch, but after 3 Philips TV's and other Philips equipement I must admit Philips is getting worse by the year.

I am a Loewe fan; not cheap, but you get good quality image; i still have an old 'tube' Loewe, but still very happy with it, since most of the times, when i watch at image quality produced by other TVs, i'm reassured i still have the right choice.

I have a philips with ambi light, i just like the ambi light, quality is ok. My tv before that lasted about 10 years.. (big old sucker) i like the aureau one from philips (ambilight from 4 sides) but i must admit, the pioneer ones look nice too..

This article is almost a year old, and I thought I just read an article in the German C'T magazine about release of a Bravia with the Crossbar interface and network connection. Will check when I get home.

Funny to see there is a lot of Linux involved in those Bravias.
Maybe check the lastest models on this list for APP API support too.
