camera for guarding at night too, which one?

So i have a friend, who has well pretty much some money to burn since they broke into a car in front of his house etc etc..

He asked which camera is a good camera to keep an eye on it during daytime but also night time. Since i must say i am really pleased with mobotix, also because of the free tooling to go back in time and events and configure with the software for the desktop (basicly creating your own camera system without extra information) i told him to get one of those.

In particular a DualNight M12. Ok granted it costs money, but he is willing to pay for it if needed.

Is this in your opinions the best choice?

I don't know if it's 'the best' persé, but that would be my recommendation as well. I like the 'all-in-one' vs the price, weatherproof, compact, no extra cables etc. The M12D-Sec-DNight (Hi-res) or M12D-IT-DNight (Std-res). But I'm sure there are plenty of other thinkable/affordable solutions he could use if he wants to spend less.
