Re: Toon app: waste collection (Afvalwijzer)
i made a mockup of how i think the afvalwijzer app should look like: toon_afval.jpg The color of the icon is dependant of the kind of garbage. It only gets this state the day before around 17 o clock. When there is no upcoming garbage, the icon would be gray so it's clear that there is no attention ...

Re: Software: modifications and extensions Toon
Hi there! Yes i used the original toon sidepanel to show my devices. The cool thing is that that button to slide out the panel is also visible when the screen is black. So switching your devices is always 1 click away. It took me some work to get the button to show. You have to try some stuff out. A...

Re: Toon firmware: issues (and solutions)
So i'm at a old Toon version, around 3.2.16 if i'm right.... I have the QT interface but didnt update it for months.
Is there anything new that i would like? Or should i stay at the firmware that i'm at? I can't find any release notes...

Apperently the Toon hadware has a speaker connected according to the hardware manufacturer.
Anyone tried to get the speaker working? Would be cool to be able to make some sounds sometimes...

Re: Software: modifications and extensions Toon
Well, almost everything is possible. The language is QML. It's a language to define which widgets go where and define some specifics. But, all the rest in the QML file is actually Javascript. So, things like x&y coordinates, height, width, opacity etc. is QML, and actions like onclick, loading d...

Re: Software: modifications and extensions Toon
Plugwise won't work out of the box on toon. Only the devices they sell (forgot the name). But hey, that's where we come in. So make it yourself
toon is easily rooted, and developing apps for it is kinda easy too.

Re: Software: modifications and extensions Toon
Video will be bad. Around 1 fps max if youre lucky. Qt writes tot the framebuffer directly. Thats why (as i found out) they disabled a lot of animations in toon aswell. But image display when the doorbell is pressed should not be a problemen. Oh and sure, you can use it! Just post your results here,...

Re: Software: modifications and extensions Toon
So, last night i finished the first beta version of my Kodi remote app :) It's a tray icon with a fullscreen app. It's designed to not go to sleep when opened :) http://i.imgur.com/uYmwnUm.png How to install: Unzip the folder to /HCBv2/qml/apps Edit the /HCBv2/qml/apps/kodiRemote/MediaScreen.qml fil...

Re: Software: modifications and extensions Toon
I did that before too, but i like my new approach better. The popout screen button is visible even if the screen is dimmed. So, if i walk to my toon, it's two clicks to activate every light and screen i have. With tiles, it would be 1 tap to wake up toon, 1 tap to switch to next screen and then at l...

Re: Software: modifications and extensions Toon
I can post some work in progress pics here ;) I also made a custom extension which controls my blinds and lamps. To clarify, i'm NOT using Hue lamps, but my own klikaanklikuit lights, homemade screen switches, and a raspberry pi controller. http://i.imgur.com/IZJ5Xgy.png Then onto the Kodi plugin. I...

Toon app: Kodi media player
This thread has been created on may 25th, 2017. It holds posts pertaining to the Kodi remote app. Since the first posts were extracted from another thread, some remarks in them may seem a bit odd. So, i'm working at making a KODI plugin for Toon. In short, when KODI is active, it shows a kodi icon ...
