Thanks,
I am starting to understand my setup. I will study the stuff in more detail. Ultimate goal is to understand where I spend my money and whether I am wasting it. Right now we're burning about 25m3 gas per day.

Re: Does my Honeywell Modulation modulate?
Hi Marcel, Thanks for the reply, our home is 180m2, built in 1892, high ceilings, but we're not heating most of it, just kitchen and living room. The kitchen has floorheating (vloerverwarming) and is shut off at 18:00. What's Bang-bang control? The log for OT14 (same day as previous Control Point lo...

Does my Honeywell Modulation modulate?
I have a Honeywell Touch modulation (TH8210M1003) thermostat and my CV is a Nefit TopLine Aquapower HRC 45/CW6 with an EMS-OT opentherm converter for Nefit. All running fine with Domoticz. I can override setpoint and monitor the system. What I see, but I am not an expert, is strange control of the C...

OTGW on OSX el capitan
If you're running OTGW connected to Mac OSX, and you've just upgraded to El Capitan, you may have lost your USB port. Then read this . Especially the part down where it says: For Mac OS X 10.11 (El Capitan), you need first to disable System Integrity Protection: 1. Reboot in Recovery mode by pressin...

Re: Domoticz: OTGW: Error 03
Answering my own question for archaeologists sake: I read the troubleshooting guide and attached the OTGW to the otmonitor, set VR=4 and the Errors are gone (for now)

Re: Domoticz: OTGW: Error 03
I have my setup running for a few days and it's not stable. I see a lot of Error 03, just like mentioned in this topic. I am using domoticz too. Today I saw T and B messages too: 2015-09-15 20:29:53.953 OTGW: Error 03 2015-09-15 20:29:56.816 OTGW: Error 03 2015-09-15 20:30:01.689 OTGW: Error 03 2015...

Re: Nefit:can not set Room Setpoint?
Great, it's working! I didn't find the setting but it wasn't necessary after all (probably no option any more). The Honeywell Touch modulation (TH8210M1003) does support overriding the setpoint out of the box, it just takes a minute or so. The thermostat is actually displaying the fact that it is ov...

Re: Nefit:can not set Room Setpoint?
Almost there, just installed the Honeywell touch modulation. It is communicating correctly as it does display the outside temperature from domoticz. But no setpoint override yet. The compatibility page says I need to enable this option in the menu, but I can not find it. Not in the user and not in t...

Re: Nefit:can not set Room Setpoint?
My theory is that the thermostat's OT interface box reuses code from another thermostat, which includes support for ID 9, but the RF interface provides no possibility to send this information to the control part of the thermostat. And so it is simply discarded. Exactly, that's my theory too. So tod...

Re: Nefit:can not set Room Setpoint?
Hi D_Hailsham,
As far as I understand now you're right when it comes to controlling the boiler without thermostat, and that's not what I'll be pursuing. I'm trying to instruct the thermostat and then "override setpoint" (via DataID 9) might work if the thermostat supports it.

Re: Nefit:can not set Room Setpoint?
From what I see in the otmonitor log, the OTGW is doing fine, but the thermostat doesn't react to override. Anything out of the ordinary here? I'll try order another thermostat in the meantime... 08:40:56.959472 Command: TT=21.00 08:40:56.990776 TT: 21.00 08:40:57.240747 T00050000 Read-Data Applicat...

Re: Nefit:can not set Room Setpoint?
Correct, the gateway sits between the thermostat and the boiler. The thermostat is controlling the whole show. It sends a message to the OTGW. The gateway examines the message and decides if it should send it to the boiler, or if it can answer it on its own. In the latter case it may send a differe...
