Re: ZigBee Network monitor

Good stuff :-)

I posted a reply on your site asking whether you thought this might work with the Plugwise devices - I am in need of some way of mapping my network so I can correctly place some repeaters.

ZigBee mesh analysis software

Has anyone managed to find a utility (commercial or free) that will allow me to examine the Mesh topology and path strengths of my Plugwise network. I have an issue where some segments become lost during night hours (intereference I guess) and I want to supplement the network with a repeater but wit...

Replacing just the Circle+

I have been using Plugwise European plug versions and Stealths - over 30 devices . Now that I have some UK format plugs I wish to replace my EU Circle+ with a UK one. So is there an easy way to swap the Circle+ ie link my new one into the existing network . Do I have to factory reset every Plug and ...

Re: New Release Source 2.15 now available!

Although I haven't been running long enough to be certain, it seems that when I startup Source it finds a different variety of my devices pretty quickly and once it has them it keeps them, and can control them. However any missing devices don't seem to get recognised later - even after several hours...

Re: Plugwise Wishlist and Findings

Bumping an old thread .. An included utility that visualises the ZigBee mesh network topology that has been created - i.e. it shows you which modules can link to each other and the quality of that path. This is really essential to determine where only one path exists between modules so you can resit...

Re: New Release Source 2.15 now available!

Here's what I had to do.... I went back into the 'add new modules' section and the system then rescanned my network and picked up the missing module and one of them was identified as having old firmware. I still couldn't read the current power levels from any of the six though in Source. So I re-ran...

Re: New Release Source 2.15 now available!

The update appeared to go OK although it did say the stick had problems and to unplug it, wait 10 secs and then put it back in , but it recovered OK, updating my 20 nodes. It then rebuilt the network and showed around six modules greyed out as 'waiting' but surprisingly it only listed a couple as wa...

Re: Reach of the Circles ?

It would be great to be able to examine the routing table and the relative quality of the interlinks such that any large segments of the network that are only linked with the rest via one mesh path can be (physically) adjusted to improve reliability and speed.

ZigBee repeater compatibility ?

I don't have an answer yet - and unfortunately I don't yet have any other ZigBee devices to see if it works. I do hope that there is some compatibility across manufacturers though to allow the systems to mesh together. I do have a Digi X-Bee module I might be able to try but I suspect those might ha...

ERROR: Appliance XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX is unknown

I have another problem... My devices were originally named in Plugwise but I have changed them since I introduced them into HS. Some have swapped around. The devices show the correct names in Plugwise Source but the wrong names in HS (after having copied files from an older install). So I tried rena...

Thanks Rene - that worked.

ERROR: Appliance XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX is unknown

I tried to move a working install from one HS install directory to another new one, in order to keep my historic graphs. I copied all the files associated with the plugin + the chart files. I had no devices created but after enabling the plugin it created them. It all seems to be working however now...

ZigBee repeater compatibility ?

I know ZigBee is supposed to be a standard at the data transport level but has anyone any experience of using other manufacturers ZigBee repeaters alongside the Plugwise plugs ? Do they participate with the Plugwise network as repeaters ? .. and the reverse - do the Plugwise plugs act as repeaters f...

Bwired Googlemaps upload data webservice

Pieter/Sooty Thanks Sooty - that's now working for me too, and I like the decimal points column :-) Pieter..Just on the question I posted above is there any reason we can't post text strings or indeed rudimentary html as a device value ? I looked over a few sites on the map and I think that a few pe...

Bwired Googlemaps upload data webservice

I am still having problems, I can't get different settings for each device ... all my uploaded values have 0 decimal places. The configuration screen does now correctly hold the different entries for each device but they are all added to the XML with 0 decimal places . It would be nice to perhaps di...
