Brightness on Toon2 less in dim mode
The brightness on the Toon2 is less than the Toon1 in dim mode. If I switch to dim mode for a second it is bright, but than goes darker. Is there a way to keep the brightness high also in dim mode? I set brightness via settings to 100% for both. I see the update-rooted.sh script has a editAutoBright...

Re: Toon app: Buienradar
Hi Toonz, Everything is working again. I'm on 5.0.6 now. While looking into the certificate status (none where expired), and after enabling the VPN for a longer period, to see if the 'Native weather app' would work, I was presented with a message: "[title:]Vanaf nu wordt je Toon automatisch geu...

Re: Toon app: Buienradar
Hi Toonz,
Thanks, yes indeed expired certificates might be the reason here.
Are there any disadvantages with upgrade to the latest release.
E.g. is it still possible to change apps locally on the Toon?

Re: Toon app: Buienradar
I have not updated my Toon (4.10.6) or the Buienradar app (8.3.3) in a very very long time.
And now discovered that Buienradar stopped updating on 21-Jul-2020 at 13:00.
Is this expected?

Re: Toon app: ToonStore
Toonz, After a refresh I see now a list of apps. I'm just surprised to have received this update due to the "N.B. by installing the ToonStore you will not receive official firmware updates anymore from Eneco for the moment." note on page 1. Is it that receiving updates is still possible, b...

Re: Toon app: ToonStore
On my Toon I get a message that an update is available (Nog meer Toon er is een softwware-update beschikbaar). I have the ToonStore installed. I thought with ToonStore installed an update is not possible? If I look in ToonStore I get '0 Apps in de ToonStore'. /mnt/data/update does also show _opkg.qb...

Re: Toon firmware - update script
@TheHogNL Maybe not an enforcing check but e.g. if [ "$lastKnownHash" -eq "$dlScripHash" ]; then continue upgrade without warning else echo "Warning: The script you downloaded has changed from the verified script. Please only continue after confirming the changes are ok.&quo...

@TheHogNL
Doesn't it make sense to add a md5sum check on the downloaded upgrade-qb2.sh file?

Re: Toon firmware: issues (and solutions)
@TheHogNL
suspect a typo here:
"Please make sure not to upgrade to 4.10.6 also, before going any higher."
guess this should be:
"Please make sure to upgrade to 4.10.6 first, before going any higher."

Re: Toon app: DomoticzBoard
@Timeless
Understood that https is not supported by (the qml version used by) Toon.
For kodiRemote (patch) I didn't had to use Base64 encoding.
(I have not looked why kodiRemote it is not working for Kodi17. Guess https?)

Re: Rooting Toon (or boxx)
Succeeded with rooting my 2016 Toon using JTAG an a RPi (RPi 1, Model B Revision 2.0). Initially I had complains from openocd while it was processing ed20.cfg, but solved it using the advice from @bwbboot here . The error message was different: ed20_init Error: An adapter speed is not selected in th...

Thanks for your explanation. I can't update however. opkg keeps getting killed. The errors I get are below. Any ideas as to what could be the problem? >> 2017-10-04 08:56:17 +0000 (pid 3440) _opkg.qb2-ene-3.0.29.script.sh qb2 ene 3.5.4 prepare >> 2017-10-04 08:56:17 +0000 (pid 3440) prepare >> 2017...

Re: Toon firmware: issues (and solutions)
I have the same issue. I found this: domoticaforum.eu/viewtopic.php?f=87& ... 150#p77719 Will running this script work or will I mess up my Toon? Yes, you can use that script. I used it to from 2.9.26 to, 3.0.29 to 3.1.22 to 3.2.18, and finally to 3.5.4 (still my current version). You can go di...
