Re: Powering ESP32/ESP8266 device using OTGW
Thanks for all the comments! It all makes perfect sense to me now. Thanks for the tip with regards to the Nodo-Shop version, its looks nice, but without the PCB (layout) available and the inclusion of SMD components not as much fun as using the OTGW board. Time to order some more components and star...

Re: IC2 MAX232 pins in OTGW schematic
The linked Conrad component datasheet uses the MAX232 by Texas Instruments, maybe use their Eaglesoft version of the library created by Vitaly Luban from Conexant, which could be found here?

IC2 MAX232 pins in OTGW schematic
At the schematic page IC2 (MAX232) seems to missing pin 15 (Vcc) and 16 (GND), which are shown in the assembly sheet.
Also the marking V+ and V- is slightly confusing (i confused V+ for Vcc). V+ is marked VS+ and V- is marked VS- in the MAX232 datasheet.

Powering ESP32/ESP8266 device using OTGW
The schematic page states 'In case you want to power an ESP8266 or similar device from the same power supply, you may want to order these alternatives instead'. Since I am not a electronic engineer I am a bit puzzled by the suggested replacements. The original voltage regulator at IC3, the MC7805CT,...

HW=state toggle and Opentherm messages
I have a "Intergas Prestige CW6" boiler and "Honeywell Chronotherm Touch Modulation" setup. On the thermostat I have "Warm tapwater tijdens SLAPEN" (Hot Domestic Water during SLEEP) set to '0' which means IMHO that it should not heat the water in the hot water storage t...

[patch] Support for persistent USB paths
Persistent USB path listings are currently recognized as hostname, due to the colon in the path: /sys/devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:14.0/usb3/3-3/3-3.4/3-3.4.2/3-3.4.2:1.0/ttyUSB0/tty/ttyUSB0/device /dev/serial/by-path/platform-20980000.usb-usb-0:1.3.4.1:1.0-port0 Those are useful to support, since the...

otgw partslist
Some of the parts listed at http://otgw.tclcode.com/schematic.html#partlist are no longer available at Conrad. I have an updated list for some of the common parts (the resistors), yet for some parts I am not able to find it next-gen alternative. The replacements I found are: 403334 - 89 -> 1089155 -...
