Re: google calendar

I think setting the url via ssh will be my preferred method. No way I'm typing an url like that on Toon's touch screen. The tile & screen could look very similar to WasteCollection; multiple events for today on the tile (starttime + title); more events for the full-screen widget (start - e...

Re: Toon ignores scheduled program, possibly due to Home Assista

Thanks for insights! Good to know that there was such a feature in the past. It seems that changing the mode using the GUI 'locks' the program implicitly; because state changes to '2'. This probably doesn't last forever, but it sure does take a while to return to normal/scheduled operation. It's als...

Re: Toon ignores scheduled program, possibly due to Home Assista

Can anyone shed some light on the meaning of the values in the web-API of happ_thermostat? http://toon:10080/happ_thermstat?action=changeSchemeState&state=xxx&temperatureState=yyyy state: 0 = program/schedule enabled 1 = program/schedule disabled 2 = ??? (changed by user, only if different f...

Re: google calendar

GCal lists an url that can be used to share the calendar without making it public. It's in the per calendar settings and accompanied by the following (Dutch) text: Gebruik dit adres om deze agenda te openen vanuit andere apps zonder de agenda openbaar te maken. Waarschuwing: Deel dit adres alleen me...

Re: Rooting Toon (or boxx)

I started using my Toon this summer; would be pretty cold :( here if it hadn't adapted to new (outside) temperatures by now.

Good thing it's continuous process. Would be quite tedious to reset Toon every season.

Stay warm!

Re: Spontaneous reboots

I stumbled across a proper fix on Github; it disables gzipping by supplying the proper headers with the request.

Re: Rooted toon without Eneco account and Google home

I'm not sure if Google Home falls back to the 'Conversation'-component, but if it does you should be able to define custom intents. https://www.home-assistant.io/components/conversation/ I'm fairly new to voice-controlled home automation but I try to stay away from Google and went for Mycroft. The s...

Toon ignores scheduled program, possibly due to Home Assista

My Toon1 seems to ignore its schedule at certain times. i.e. changes from Home -> Comfort don't happen reliably. I've been trying to make the smart Thermostat even smarter by integrating it with Home Assistant and its presence detection. This results in HA changing the mode of Toon and might confuse...

Re: Rooted toon without Eneco account and Google home

Won't that (Olisto) still work on a rooted Toon as long as the contract is valid as @marcelr already stated?

Re: TSC settings menu item

Very clever, looks neat!

From a UX perspective; I believe that in the screenshot all the apps are disabled/saving max. possible memory?
Sliding the button to the right means it can be used again?

Re: Toon firmware resource file (as from 4.16.8)

It probably fails to download the file and shows nothing. Can you see the request for the logo-file in the logs of your webserver? Why not just put the file on your Toon; do you change the file randomly? Any chance the wastecollection-thermostat-mod will become optional in the near future?...

Re: Toon app: boiler status

Could writing a similar app that exposes the same thermostat (and additional) data via a web-page (just like boilerstatus) be a feasable solution?

Not sure how to gather the additional data from the Toon(2) though, might need some pointers on that before I start hacking something together.

Re: Toon firmware resource file (as from 4.16.8)

Great work, I'm really curious how you do this. For Toon1 I had already removed the logo by replacing the image with a fully transparent *.png. Attached the original logo and it's transparant counterpart to this post. (Creating it yourself is easy, but downloading from the web even more, maybe it he...
