Re: Toon firmware - update script
Tried to update via the new TSC update option but failed. Apparently something changed on the eneco update script... Unattended selected version 4.22.7 Alright, I will try to upgrade to 4.22.7 Now starting the VPN tunnel and waiting for it to be alive and configured... Now starting the VPN tunnel an...

Re: ZonOpToon alternative
Problem solved! Apparently the meteradapter "learns" the pulse properties and failed to do that properly the first time. After power cycling the meteradapter with de S0 cable connected the LED indeed stays on until the first pulse from the s0 port is received. Since then it properly detect...

Re: ZonOpToon alternative
That is weird. Your datasheet says 'pontentiaal vrij via optokopler'. So there should be no voltage on the s0 if disconnected. Or do you mean when it is connected? Does, with the wires disconnected, the S0 make a connection when the led is pulsing (measure with your multimeter with Ohm, should go t...

Re: ZonOpToon alternative
Hi All. Today I tried to get Toon Zon working with my existing Eltako WSZ12DE-32A power meter with S0 output, but had no luck up to now. I wired the S0 interface as posted here . I can install Toon zon without a problem, the input is recognized. But unfortunately is shows no power generation (appare...

Re: Toon app: Afvalwijzer
Hi all, I just published version 4.5 on ToonStore. Changelog: - added new waste category for deafvalapp.nl (the mogwai case) and improved coding for this provider - added 'reinigen containers' for mijnafvalwijzer.nl (Rudolf case) (experimental for the time being, no icon shown, just listed in the o...

Re: Toon app: Afvalwijzer
Hi. Just started using this app, but ran into a strange problem. The information for my adress is available from deafvalapp.nl so I selected waste provider 2 and my postal code + house number. If I look on the deafvalapp.nl website this correctly shows that on the next pickup date there will be &quo...

Re: Toon's clock is 2 minutes behind
Just noticed that the chrony implementation on the toon is somewhat buggy. If it connects to a new time server which is has never connected to, it will not sync to it (giving that error dump file message). With pool.ntp.org the server will change between a lot of pool servers. Just restart chrony a...

Re: Toon's clock is 2 minutes behind
Have you updated /etc/chrony.conf as described here: https://www.domoticaforum.eu/viewtopic.php?f=87&t=11449&p=85791&hilit=chrony.conf#p85791 ? And reboot probably Used the exact contents of the chrony.conf mentioned in above link, but still get errors / warnings if I look in /var/log/m...

Re: Rooting Toon (or boxx)
It's pinging google: $ nslookup 8.8.8.8 Server: 192.168.73.1 Address: 192.168.73.1#53 Non-authoritative answer: 8.8.8.8.in-addr.arpa name = google-public-dns-a.google.com. But you're right, this hasn't been working for some time now. Your suggestion should be added to the rooting manual. Thanks for...

Re: Rooting Toon (or boxx)
I recently rooted my Toon succesfully, but using ToonRooter on RasPI. After that I followed to manual for "hardening the Toon" and get it completely disconnected from Quby. All went well except for this part ##### Disabling pinging quby.nl: ##### Toon pings the quby ping server every so m...

Re: Rooting Toon (or boxx)
I just posted a message in the thread about ToonRooter. Yes this can be done with a RasPI 1 but you need to modify the "assets/raspberrypi.cfg" file (I did it myself a few days ago :)). Below the settings for different RasPI configurations: # Raspi2 and Raspi3 peripheral_base address bcm28...

Re: Fully automated rooting script
I succesfully rooted my Toon running SW version 4.16.8 using your toonrooter. Thanks! I did have to modify "assets/raspberrypi.cfg" for my RasPI 1 B+. Maybe it's a good idea to include different versions of the config file for the different RasPI versions. According to the info I found ( s...
