Toon suddenly lost in Home Assistant
Hi all, I have had a power cut here and after my system booted up again the my Home Assistant installation has lost the connection to the rooted Toon1. The Toon has changed its IP and I am trying to get it back to the original (also setting a fixed IP in my router) but so far no success. It just kee...

Re: Mutli zone heating with Toon
Hi all, I just wanted to share with you the solution that I have found to realize a multi zone heating, combining Home Assistant with the great Toon integration and a digital TRVs. Maybe this is useful to others. My setup: Home Assistant on a Raspberry Pi running Raspberrymatic on it to be able to c...

Re: Mutli zone heating with Toon
But the question was concerning a Toon1 anyhow where the option to control the valves is not implemented. Hence the idea to combine those two scripts.

Re: Mutli zone heating with Toon
Hi TheHogNL, well what I am aiming at is that the Toon (and its thermostat installed in the living room) will not really turn off the heater anymore when the temperature in the living room is reached but only once the temperature in ANY of the defined rooms is reached. I will install TRVs on all rad...

Re: Toon q Opentherm
OK, I was hoping for a opinion on a forum where I guess these kind of statements are rather objective and not driven by whatever somebody running a private blog might get when writing a nice positive review. In any case, what I would still like to know is what kind of settings make sense in the Open...

Toon q Opentherm
Hi all, I have got a rather general question. Tried searching the forum fist and looking into the Toon manual, but that did not take me very far so I trust you know all about this and can possibly help me a bit. I just discovered that I could switch the Toon from the on/off method to Opentherm. I ha...

Re: Toon 1 and Toon 2 software rooting
Hi TheHogNL, I tried to find where I had picked up this "old" link to Github but cannot recall anymore. I had bookmarked the page after I had found it. It was a forum of some kind. If I will find it again I will let you know. Thanks, Merc the toon is still updating the software and the she...

Re: Toon 1 and Toon 2 software rooting
Hi there, so right at the moment the hardware rooting is running. I am in the process of updating the software to the latest version. In the console I can see a lot of "y" flashing and on the Toon's screen it says updating software but I am not sure if the progress bar is still moving Is t...

Re: Toon 1 and Toon 2 software rooting
Hi TheHogNl, I was using this script https://github.com/IgorYbema/Root-A-Toon so far. Now I have downloaded your latest one. I am running this on a PI to which I connect the Toon via WIFI, with access to the internet. So now I reset the Toon and I am waiting for it to ask me to activate it again. It...

Re: Toon 1 and Toon 2 software rooting
Hi TheHogNl, I have now bought a used Toon 1 on Marktplaats and I am retrying the script. It seems to be more successfull but is still running into some kind of error. At the moment it seems to be stuck at a point where it tries to download dropbear and it says that it failed to download http://quti...

So I am the lucky winner. I got a .100 firmware.
