Re: OTGW LAN + MQTT HomeAssistant

Maybe its only a feature of the Nodo OTGW board, but I have a D1 mini on mine publishing MQTT directly (not via OT monitor). The board publishes a webpage where you can enable MQTT and configure the Broker, etc.

Re: Multiple Add Alternative associated with single Unknown ID

Ah, thanks for fixing the log. It was probably me that uploaded the previous one, which had the Vokera BeSmart wireless thermostat and hub  I tried to get the capability log again, with the same boiler but the WundaSmart HubSwitch. It seemed to get stuck in a loop Reading ID12 then Reading 13....

Re: Multiple Add Alternative associated with single Unknown ID

Interesting about the ID14. I uploaded the boiler log (Vokera Linea One) to the OTGW site, and just checking it now I see that ID14 is a blank- strangely not an X, as it is returning a Unk-DataId. I might re-run the capability log again. I'm guessing the WundaSmart HubSwitch, which is the source of ...

Re: Multiple Add Alternative associated with single Unknown ID

From the statistics tab on the OT monitor, I don't see any appearance of ID16 or 24.
The only strange one is ID14 (Write max relative modulation level), which gets a Unk response. Not sure what this does, but can a write be marked as an unknown ID and substituted with an AA?

Re: use-case : monitor temperature and behavior to decide on future heat-pump via OTGW ?

Before the glorious discovery of the OTGW, I had a homebrew flow and return temperature sensor using an ESP32 and two temperature probes just taped to the pipes near the boiler. In my case, I used MQTT as the reporting scheme. When I got the OTGW, I compared the values of the boiler reported values ...

Multiple Add Alternative associated with single Unknown ID

My combi boiler understands all the OT commands issued by the thermostat, but the stat doesn't request the return water temperature. I sacrificed the water pressure request as a UI to get a slot, and added the return water temperature as an AA, and all is good. If I add a new AA parameter (DHW flow,...

Re: NODO OTGW board COM port continuous connect/disconnect

The polyfuse has just the number 4 on top, which matches the markings on the Bourn PTC MF-PSMF020X-2, rated for 9V operating at 200mA, tripping at 500mA. Bought the board assembled from ebay from some mysterious person  in Milton, Cambridge in January this year (thought it was older than that!)...

Re: NODO OTGW board COM port continuous connect/disconnect

Looks like the culprit is the polyfuse. When I loop the therm and boiler contact together and connect pin 3 to ground, the USB current is 130mA, and the fuse gets annoyed and drops about 2 volts, so the supplies brown out. Shorting it out and repeating shows normal operation (pin 18 reaches about 2....

Re: NODO OTGW board COM port continuous connect/disconnect

I should have checked the OT spec! Anyway, I'll have time later in the week to do a bit more debugging. Im guessing one of the 3 rails is getting pulled down, so finding which one will give me a clue as to what is going wrong. I can trace the expected voltages around the interface, less so around th...

Re: NODO OTGW board COM port continuous connect/disconnect

Thanks for the quick response, and in particular for the info about the component numbers being the same- I checked the diodes and gave up when I found they were different. If the transistors have the same numbers, that makes it a lot easier to trace and debug. Sounds like the best bet is to remove ...

NODO OTGW board COM port continuous connect/disconnect

Recently replaced my Vokera BeSmart OT wireless box + stat with a WundaSmart Hubswitch. They seem to play nice together, but when I attached the NODO OTGW board (V2.11, now with V6.6 FW on)), things went strange. The gateway (with WiFI D1 mini at the time) had been used frequently on the BeSmart OT ...
