TS-808 Wireless thermostat

To control my underfloor heating valve, I want to use a (wireless) thermostat that I also can control via RFXCom. Using a simple KaKu switch and a temperature sensor linked via Domottiz could a solution, but the drawback is I cannot simply adjust the temperature in the room by 'pressing a switch'/ I...

Re: Reading SDM120C Power meter

What you need is a device that counts the pulses generated by the meter: The S0PCM-5 module of smartmeterdashboard can do that (@ the board administrator: This is not meant as advertising my own stuff, therefore also no link. Just helping out. if this is not allowed, please delete this posting and a...

Best is to cust the 5V line in one of the two, otherwise you are connecting two powersources of 5V. You might be lucky, but you also might be unlucky.....

Re: Directly reading a Landis Gyr G350 gasmeter

Most Gas meters connected to a smart meter have the IR eye disabled.
Your best chance to read the gas meter is to get a SMR5 smart meter. That (newest) version sends out the E values every second and the G (or any other conected slave meter) values are send every second, but updated every 5 minutes.

Re: P1 port enabled on all new smartmeters?

Be aware that by using a service like slimmemeterportal.nl you will: 1. only get 15 minute values 2. get values with at least one day delay 3. supply your energy readings to a 'overige dienstenaanbieder, ODA' (e.g. slimmemeterportal.nl). And since you're not paying for that product, you ARE the prod...

Re: Reading the IR port of an IEC 62056-21 Smart Meter

It has been some time I have visited this forum, but in case anyone is interested I have a few datalogger scripts ready made for a number of utility meters (Electricity and Heat). All programmed in Python3 and (under a CC license) free to use, please see http://www.smartmeterdashboard.nl under downl...

Re: No data from P1 port?

The specs of the DSMR 4.0 port are documented in the DSMR4 spec from Netbeheer Nederland. Currently the dutch gridoperators roll out two types DSMR4 meters: Kaifameter and L+G e350. Where the Kaifameter complies to the DSMR4 standard, the L+G does not. In contrast with earlier (DSMR 2.x / 3.x) smart...

eQ-3 Max! Cube Setup problems

I know this post should be send to the eQ-3 Support department (and believe me, they get it as well), but since eQ-3 nor Conrad (the reseller) was not able to help me, I will give this a try too. Since last Sunday I am trying to get my eQ-3 Max! Cube set up. The state it seems to be stuck in is: 1. ...

Re: Reading the P1 port of a NTA8130 Dutch Smart Meter

You should definitely ask your gridoperator (ie Stedin) to give you access to the P1 port of your smart meter. The free accessibility of the P1 is one of the requirements in the NTA8130 definition. You could make a reference to the NTA8130 P1 Companion guide by netbeheer nederland (use Google to fin...

Re: Enexis Pilot project "slimme meter" with Plugwise set

Somehow I missed the notification of the PM Maurice sent me. Just replied. In my opinion Plugwise makes things too complex wich is probably caused by the fact that they want to do it all by their existing hardware. I see the same effects in the energiemanagement.nl pilot in which I am participating....

Re: Reading the P1 port of a NTA8130 Dutch Smart Meter

I have a first version of my p1 datalogger ready for field-testing. The program is developed in Python3 and has proven to function correct on Iskraemeco (Liander) and Kamstrup (Enexis) NTA8130 Dutch Smart meters. I am particularly interested in getting in touch with testers that have meter-configura...

Re: Reading the P1 port of a NTA8130 Dutch Smart Meter

The solution verkenner came up with worked with other people as well. As long as you use the FTDI TTL Serial tot USB convertercable. Stay away from cheap alternatives as those mostly do not support the port configuration we need. I will pick up my cable from ht epostoffice this afternoon and will tr...

Re: Reading the P1 port of a NTA8130 Dutch Smart Meter

Bollocks, the CP2102 does not have configurable I/O. 'newer' Silabs converters (like CP2103) do.
Guess I have to wait until my FTDI cable arrives.
