Hmm a nice burning smell and my alarm sensors are not switching on the lights! I've read a lot about the realiabilty of the above module. Is it just that one, or are all x10 controllers this useless. Ive only had this unit 10 days!!!! and its already dead. I was looking to move to a pc based system ...

Hi again Kris, In answer to your question, I have a gsm unit connected to my powermax+ panel and can sms that with the relevant x10 address and switch appliances and light etc on and off! Its great fun as I also have an axis 207w ip camera at home so I can actually see the lights going on and off ov...

Hi Kris,
Thanks for replying so quickly, I tried your reply and it worked a treat using my powermax panel.
I am now getting hooked on this x10 stuff and Ive even managed to send an sms text to my house to switch lights on and off lol!
