If you have already powerline cables, you could have some space to insert a 2 wires cable , as thin as the telephone cable. Use it to connect sc9000 with dry alarm contacts placed on the garage door itself.

I think that your project will be hard to setup. I mean: you want your shutters to work on sunlight, but this is a condition with multiple levels settings.
