I was looking for open-source/free software solutions, if possible.

Easiest Web to X10 method?

Hi, Haven't been around for a while, but hope some of the "old timers" still remember me. :) I finally have a little time to start messing around with home-automation, and would like to know what you suggest as the easiest way to make a web interface to send X10 commands via a CM11/CM15. I...

Re: New PHPBB3 Forum for Domoticaforum Europe Open

All old links on google and other sites are now automaticly redirected to the new forum Did this for topics and forums, if you find some other broken links, please let me know it. Nice, that saved me a bit of trouble... I had lots of old links "bookmarked" as interesting in emails, and no...

Re: New PHPBB3 Forum for Domoticaforum Europe Open

I had a notification email with a bad link to the forum.
(It had the /pkk/ part and it shouldn't have. :)

Don't know if it was fixes meanwhile... will have to wait for a new notification on a thread.

Re: New PHPBB3 Forum for Domoticaforum Europe Open

Glad to see everything is back in working order. My main "issue" is having lost all the "subscriptions" of the threads I was actively following. But I guess there really was no way to do it otherwise... Well, time to dust off all the old stuff and start new updated threads. :) Ed...

RFXCOM Power, Water and Gas data collection tool

Just curious, what setup (software) are you currently using? :) I've inquired Google to know if they plan to open their PowerMeter for private use... they say they'll eventually do it, but can't say "when". So, I'm still stuck using my own custom software, but I'd prefer using an open-sour...

Fade Out Module for Lamps

Peter, thanks! I'll try those out with my current modules and see if I have any luck with it.

Meanwhile, if anyone comes across o "dumb module" that does just the simple fade out using a line input (to connect to a regular switch, for example) I would still be interested in it.

Fade Out Module for Lamps

Wow! That would be great. Can you give more detailed info about how I can use that dim over time function? What's the extended command?

Fade Out Module for Lamps

@mhn

Most likely, it sends individual "dim commands" at time intervals... Though it would be really great if it really did that in one single command.

Fade Out Module for Lamps

Thanks - but again, I'm trying to keep away from any "discrete" dim commands. I have a high probability those would result in heavy interference: I have at least 4 motion sensor triggers that are likely to be triggered, and I wouldn't want RF transmissions (or powerline) occuring for long ...

Fade Out Module for Lamps

thanks mhn, I had come across that module a while back while searching for this kind of stuff. However, i'd prefer to have a module that would accept a "line" input to toggle it on/off. (I don't know if it's even possible to trigger that "slow-dim" through a Z-wave command, or if...

Fade Out Module for Lamps

Does anyone know of a cheap module that simply does a slow fade off effect when turned off? For example, if we connected it to a regular switch, when we turned it off it would slowly fade out the lamps over 10 or 15 (or 30) seconds. But the best case would be to have it connected to a motion sensor,...

That Wiz sure look like a Tibbo... Have you ever tried those? Have Ethernet and are easily programmable in a kind of BASIC language.
