Looks like my Micasaverde Vera. That is based on WL-500, too. The firmware is named Mios nowadays. Maybe there is some open source you can use.
Vera has RS-232 support. Check their forum.

Does anyone have experience with EnOcean? To me, it seems like a good alternative to Z-wave and Zigbee. I think Düwi makes some nice switches. There's a whole range of colours to pick from, both for the paddle and the frame.
