Re: Don't use AC door/window sensors

I'm not sure your claims are accurate. I have several motion sensors from Nexa (AC), and a Magnet sensor, and 5-6 receivers modules. To test I triggered both the magnet sensor and one motion sensor at the same time. I could still turn off/on a lamp with a remote control within less than a second.

Re: Don't use AC door/window sensors

Btw, the outdoor Nexa motion sensor use ARC ( i have that one too). Not the best looking unit to use indoors however. :)

Re: Don't use AC door/window sensors

Even if you have it set to "0" ? Why would it keep sending/spamming for 3-5 seconds? I only have one of these now, but i'll guess i have to reconsider buying more. That's unfortunate, as they are inexpensive, and work well. :(

Re: Where to buy RFXcom LAN

Does the LAN have better range? I just got my usb one, and the reception range is terrible.

Re: Don't use AC door/window sensors

I'm using a NEXA door sensor and only see two packets in the software. Seems fine to me. (rfxtrx..)

Re: RFXtrx & linux

Sounds like your RFX transceiver isn't booted right. Check the unit, if the red LED is solid (not blinking) , its in a boot state (check the quick manual that came with it). It's supposed to go from red->orange blink->no lights. Try another usb port or reconnect the cable.

Re: ati remote usb rf receiver

That's clever, real clever. I guess I know why this software has more bugs than an ant pile. ;)

It's Nexa, not Nexus.

ati remote usb rf receiver

Anyone here know if its possible to use the ATI Remote Wonder USB receiver dongle, as a general purpose RF receiver? By that I mean, not just as a remote control, but to receive any type of RF protocols (oregon scientific, nexa, etc...).
