Re: FS20 Water Immersion Control

Hi,

Don't know where I got the impression these weren't rated for 16 A - turns out quite a few of them are - so I should be good to go!

Thanks.

FS20 Water Immersion Control

Hi folks, Well, I'm happy with phase 1 of my FS20 setup (Sheevaplug/FHEM, CUL, temperature sensor and remote boiler switching) - It got me through the winter and the wife didn't complain - the ultimate test! Now that the summer approaches, I'm starting to think about water control. I would like to a...

Re: Controlling a water valve

Thanks again.

Looks like just what I need. That, switched by an FS20 switch.

Controlling a water valve

After getting good answers to my Boiler control question, I'll dip my toe on another one :-) I have a manual summer/winter valve in my heating set up to open or close the radiator circuit (so in summer I've got water heating only). I'd like to replace this with an automatic valve, which I can contro...

Re: Directly controlling Boiler

Thanks folks.

I'll look at ELV and, since I'm in Ireland, buying within the Euro zone makes sense (as long as it lasts!).

KidE: When you say "I wouldn't do that", I presume you're referring to mimicking a FHT8B, rather than using a simple FS20 SU?

JOhn.

Re: Directly controlling Boiler

jrkalf, thanks for the quick and excellent response! That's cleared up a few things in my mind. Firstly, I was probably confusingly thinking that FHT uses FS20 'protocol', but it sounds like the FHT stuff is something slightly different. Anyway, it's clear from your description that the FHT8w is not...

Directly controlling Boiler

Hi, I would like to control my boiler from FHEM as the first phase in automating my heating (I currently have a basic timer on the boiler, with no thermostats or TRVs in the house, so phase one is just replacing this basic timer). My question is: is it possible to directly control the FHT8w boiler r...
