Re: Malfunctioning DIY OTGW
The semicolons appear all at the start and then it stops. I have tested it on my desktop and laptop. There is no other program interfering. The gateway is connected on my laptop through an Serial2USB device, and on my desktop directly to a serial port. It doesn't echo. I don't ever see anything echo...

Re: Malfunctioning DIY OTGW
They stop after a few (just like the screenshot).
It seems like the OTGW doesn't register my input.
Firmware upload doesn't work. I'll ask for a replacement PIC.

Malfunctioning DIY OTGW
Hi there,
I assembled my OTGW, and it doesn't work. It boots up with the diagnostics firmware but doesn't register input, and shows a lot of semicolons. See screenshot.
Does anyone have a clue about the problem?
Thanks!

Re: RS232 over Ethernet devices
Sorry to bump this topic, but is there any recent info on this? Cheapest I could find is: http://cgi.ebay.nl/TCP-IP-to-RS232-Ethernet-to-Serial-Bridge-Module-/290532432139?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item43a515190b#ht_2843wt_1139 But I would like a more "non-soldering" solution :) Any p...

Re: Remeha Calenta interface for Homeseer
"Openhaard AAN" is a mode on the Celcia 20 thermostat (It happens when you keep the i button pressed for 3 seconds). What it does is: it ignores the tempature sensor inside the thermostat, so the rest of the house will be heated even if the room temp is high because of the fireplace. I gue...

Re: Remeha Calenta interface for Homeseer
Well I've got outside temperature sensor working through RFXcom, so I wondered if that interface would also give you the possibility of supplying data. I would like to supply the "Openhaard AAN" status also through that interface. So this narrows down to an OpenTherm Gateway I guess and no...

Re: Remeha Calenta interface for Homeseer
I also bought a MAX232 from eBay (from Hong Kong). But as I read it here, that won't be enough for the Quinta. So now I'm wondering what is the best way to go: Creating an OpenTherm Gateway with RS232 connection, or buying the 'cable'. The main thing I want to do is to be able to supply the outside ...

Re: RFXCom - What do I need?
Please read this about the normal transmitter and RFXmitter: http://domoticaforum.eu/viewtopic.php?f=27&t=2729 But I'm a bit confused, on the RFXCom order page they state: "Can only be used with the Homeseer RFXCOM plug-in or xPL!" , does this mean it's an proprietary protocol? So bas...

RFXCom - What do I need?
I want to purchase some RFXCom. Can you guys help me to fill my shopping cart? What I want: I want the LAN part, I want to be able to send and receive stuff. I've got a few modified door sensors ( http://www.domotica.famschenk.eu/DS10A_op_433Mhz.html ), and I want to receive those signals. I've got ...

IR to RFXCOM
I'm just wondering.. If you use an Powermid Transmitter, will the RFXCOM pick up the converted Infrared data it sends?
Or are there any other devices which enable you to do this?
Convert an infrared signal to RF and the RFXCOM able to read this data?
