What kind of camera do you have?
There are some models that have a a/d input that you could probably use in conjunction with a electret microphone. Some webcam models have a micrphone built in.

Re: Looking for outdoor light sensor (Vera/RFXtrx433 compatible)
Interesting approach. I am planning to buy some addition webcams (an outdoor one as well). I could analyze the webcam image on light intensity and create my own virtual device plugin for Vera.
I only thought of the hardware approach. I find that quite funny because I am a developer

Create my own (Arduino) sensor for RFXtrx433
What's the best way to interface an Arduino with the RFXtrx433? I want to create my own sensor that is compatible with the RFXtrx433. I prefer using an existing protocol so that it's compatible with my Vera Lite controller. But I am not sure which protocol is the most open/documented. I was consider...

Re: Looking for outdoor light sensor (Vera/RFXtrx433 compatible)
The kaku sensor has adjustable levels IIRC. And have you considered using a LDR. Yes but it still works as a night/day sensor, not as a sensor that gives a light intensity value. I have considered using a LDR but then I would have to create a sensor myself (and make it weatherproof). I prefer a sta...

Re: Poll: Interest buying BENEXT Door/Motion sensors separately
I would be very interested! I even considered ordering the base package and throw the MyGate in the thrash a few weeks ago ;). Prices are really low compared to other Z-Wave stuff. I am anxious to see how good they work and what their build quality is. They have a very nice selection of products. So...

Re: Looking for outdoor light sensor (Vera/RFXtrx433 compatible)
That's not what I want because that works just like a dawn sensor. I want a light intensity sensor: it should return a numerical value and not a Boolean (on/off). I want to use it for example to determine at what dim level the lights should be switched on when motion is detected. I could use the cur...

Looking for outdoor light sensor (Vera/RFXtrx433 compatible)
I am looking for an outdoor light sensor that is compatible with the RFXCOM USB RFXtrx433 transceiver (I use it in combination with a Vera Lite Home Controller). I know there are KaKu Dawn sensors but I hear that KaKu sensors are not that great and I want a sensor that gives a value (light intensity...

Re: Looking for IP-based video intercom system
I think €600 is too close to the Mobotix T24 price (which is around €850 - €900 depending on configuration). I think I would prefer the Mobotix over the Aiphone because of Mobotix' better documentation, software, webcam quality and reputation
.

Re: Looking for IP-based video intercom system
I bought an Aiphone ISIPDVF device. I really liked the design, but still have to install the device... Looks very nice indeed. Unfortunately I just bought the Siemens HC540. How much is the Aiphone IS-IPDVF and where can you buy it? There is not a lot of information available on the Aiphone IS-IPDV...

Re: Looking for IP-based video intercom system
I was already mailing with the seller
(I had a marktplaats alert on the HC450 before I started this topic
).
I think it's the best solution also, and I am just going to combine it with a separate IP-cam.

And this one: http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-In-Box-LG-Nortel-1535-IP-Video-Speaker-VoIP-Web-Phone-Color-Screen-Asterisk-/160801836212?pt=US_VoIP_Home_Phones&hash=item2570894cb4 That seems a VOIP video phone? I am looking for a doorstation with an accessible webcam (via a stream/URL) that can comm...

Maybe some other options: http://www.commend.nl/en/intercom/systems/d/2/p/10075%2C10000/category/wireless_intercom_over_dect.html Looks expensive, don't see any prices. Re: Looking for IP-based video intercom system
I would not mind to go the DIY route, but I think it will be hard to find a decent looking outdoor housing that has enough room for the separate components (especially the webcam and motion sensor). Maybe I should take a look at some existing (video)intercom systems and see if I can find one that ha...

Looking for IP-based video intercom system
I am looking for a intercom that can do DECT or VOIP via Wifi and has an integrated (IP) camera. The Mobotoix T24 is ideal for this purpose but currently outside of my budget range. At this moment I don't have an electronic lock so I am not specifically looking for a system that can also unlock the ...
