Re: Visonic shutdown PowerMax email notification service
Dam, I have received your e-mail with the traffic between your PLINK-2 and Visonic server. As it can be seen, the images are sent image to image (15 images) as base64 in a XML-RPC structure posted to notify.php script. Actual version of notify.php expect the main XML tag <notify> whereas the XML-RPC...

Re: Visonic shutdown PowerMax email notification service
I am happy for your success, Dam The scripts must be created using an editor and using copy-paste from the document. Probably you want to rebuilt notify.php in your language, adapting it to your preferences or needs. Unfortunately, I don´t have cameras attached to the Visonic PLink-2. So, I didn’t k...

Re: Visonic shutdown PowerMax email notification service
Finally I managed to receive email events without the intervention of Visonic’s server. After observing the traffic between Visonic server and my PL2 I have successfully build a new server in my house, which emulates the Visonic´s and send notifications e-mail. The new server (for example a Raspberr...

Re: Visonic shutdown PowerMax email notification service

Great effort making your software!

Re: Visonic Powerlink2
Hello Mfr. Visonic is going to shutdown its IPMP service in a few weeks. I have received an e-mail with those "bad" News. This has pushed me to look for other solutions: 1) To access directly to mi powermax from Internet through the installed powerlink2 2) To receive email notifications of...

Re: Visonic shutdown PowerMax email notification service
Thank you, Bart & Phaeton, for your replays. I saw your solution but, if I’m not wrong, it means stop using powerlink2 module. So, for a Powerlink owner, I think that it would the second best solution. I am trying another way: emulate the Visonic server. I am “wiresharking” IP traffic between PL...

Visonic shutdown PowerMax email notification service
I own a PowerMax Pro panel with a PowerLink2 module. Few days ago, I received an email from Tyco-Visonic informing about the imminent shutdown of its email event notification service. This service has been active free of charge for years and it was an essential element of the PM “autonomous” alarm r...

Shutdown Visonic notification service
Few days ago, I received an email from Tyco-Visonic telling me that event notification service will be shutdown in a few weeks.
So, at this time, my PowerMax Pro with PowerLink2 will not be able to send me emails for events and alarms.
Has anybody else received these bad News from Visonic?

Re: PowerLink2 not backed by battery
Hola,
Using a UPS it is a possible solution (the most factible). The small problem in that case is that you miss the PowerMax report (e-mail) when an AC power failure occurs.
Saludos.

PowerLink2 not backed by battery
Recently I have purchased a PowerLink2 module for my PowerMax Pro. Reading the user guide available on the website of Visonic, on page 10 you can read a note that says: "PowerLink2 operation is not backed up by the control panel's battery and it is shut down during failure." Personally I f...
