Re: Cube Reset
I will email you shortly, Claudiu. Not at home now. In the mean time you can install the prerequisites: An MQTT broker. I use mosquito but your mileage may vary. If you do use mosquito ( http://mosquitto.org/download/ ) install it as a windows service. Furthermore my service is written in dot net so...

Re: Cube Reset
To be sure: I use a couple of windows services which run continuously. So you have to have a windows server (or desktop) which is on 24/7. So make sure you have that available :) Also I don't think my software is monkey or entirely NOOB proof and I have limited time to guide you (should not be a pro...

Re: Cube Reset
You can use my software if you want to. It's not something which I intend to keep secret. But installing and setup is not entirely for NOOBS I think  Another direction you could try is OpenHAB. It's open source, free and has a binding for MAX! I found it fairly simple to configure OpenHAB (and ...

Re: Cube Reset
I have written another windows service which interfaces with the Cube using the TCP (telnet) interface as described in the topic ELV MAX! protocol description on this forum and also in my own blog. This service uses an MQTT broker (mosquito in my case) to communicate with other software. In practice...

Re: Cube Reset
Hi Claudiu, I'm sorry but I don't think this is for noobs  What I have done is written a (windows) service that reads a google calendar in which I have set a heating schedule for my house. So I have appointments in my calendar where location is the name of the room and the title is the want...

Re: ELV MAX! protocol description
The M message is described at the start of the topic in the first item. It also describes where the rf address is. I have also described the M message at my blog so you could take a look there also ( adreamerslair.nl/2014/02/eq-3-max-cube- ... he-m-word/ ) All the indivdual bytes are mentioned, so I...

I am running 1.4.1 firmware here and have seen no changes in the M / H / C / L messages.

Oh silly me. You are quite right, Massi. I only looked at the specific device bytes and forgot about the generic part

Re: ELV MAX! protocol description
Hello, Regarding wall thermostat (device type = 3), the L message contains 12 bytes. Length is 12 (of course :-) ) and last byte represents the real temperature x 10. 0xaf => 175 => 17,5 degrees Philippe Don't know if you have a new type wall thermostat Philippe, but my wall thermostat L message is...

Re: Cube Reset
I have this quirck in my system too, Claudiu. But in my case it's not a big deal because I run a service which uses google calendar as my heating schedule. So when occasionally a thermostat sets itself to the wrong temperature it is automatically corrected by my service which forces the temperature ...

Re: Cube Reset
Okay, your telnet session seems the same as what I mean by tcp access. I have not yet found a command to reboot the Cube using this interface. My problems are very limited here, but when they increase I will perhaps try to put the 230v power connector in a ZWave device which I can then switch off an...

Re: Cube Reset
Are you running the 1.4.1 firmware on the Cube? Because it should not lose the connection that frequently. These problems are well known in older firmwares but the latest firmware seems to be much more stable (although it still happens occasionally but more like every few months than every day). I d...

Re: Heater question
Keep in mind that the ELV FHT8V-3 comes with some adapter rings and some adapter rings can be purchased separately. You might want to check/ensure that the ELV supports the thermostatic valve you buy or that you are handy enough to make it fit. That's the main reason why I installed Danfoss thermost...

Re: What to use for light control
I can understand that you are a bit lost with all possibilities and opinions. But unfortunately, all you have here are no more than opinions. I don't think there is the one system that is perfect (that I know of :D ). And it's the same with most choices: it's a personal choice based on own (often li...

Re: How to make an event with zwave, homeseer and keyfob
I don't know your keyfob very well, nor homeseeer, but I think you should try to switch the keyfob into a mode that will let it trigger a scene command.
Then in Homeseeer you should be able to detect that a scene change has been triggered.
