Just seen that Nest have announced a software update on twitter coming in early 2016 to better the modulating side of the unit, hopefully this may give better results.

That was a bug. Try otmonitor 4.0b1.

Hi Schelte I see on the release notes for v4 of the gateway s/w : -> The gateway will autonomously generate opentherm messages towards the boiler if no opentherm compliant thermostat is connected.
