micro in wall modules practical connections

Hi I'd love to have your thoughts on the following topics: 1. It is very unpractical to wire everything on these in wall modules with 2.5mm² wire, so therefor my thoughts on how to make this more practical. (Fibaro double in wall switch as example) https://dl-web.dropbox.com/get/Public/Screenshot%20...

@Alex: I think this OZW log file is generated by domotiga, I cannot find such in my domoticz setup.

z-wave large(r) network with domoticz/raspberry pi

Hello I have just got my new first 2 zwave modules (fibaro) and my domoticz raspberry pi setup going. And I 'm planning to put a lot more zwave modules in my house 20~30, but I'm a bit worried with stability, boot and reaction time after my first experiences. (now had many crashes and still have ~3 ...

Re: z-wave controllers

ok, great, exactly what I needed to know. I don't mind messing around a bit, as long as I have options and the girlfriend can operate it from her smartphone our the house tablet I'm fine  As long as you don't have to start compiling stuff - aka get it working in days not months - it will do...

z-wave controllers

Hi guys I'd like to get started with z-wave, more in particular Fibaro modules (~15 x light + 1 x shutter). But I'm withhold by the price of the Fibaro home center controller, which is quite expensive to my opinion (~450 euro). Can I configure the Fibaro modules with something cheaper, lets say Z-Wa...

First Z-Wave modules - what to buy

Hi guys, girls I'd like to buy my first Z-Wave modules. Some quick questions though: - should I expect any interoperability issues if I mix different makes ? If yes what should I look for? - what can I expect in terms of response times when switching multiple modules ? Compared to my old X-10 was on...

Re: update old x-10, advice ?

I 'm thinking of going all Z-Wave on this and sell of the x-10.

No hard feelings on x-10 dough, it served me well in the last 10years, I just feel it is time to move into the new era.

thx guys, any more comments always welcome :)

update old x-10, advice ?

hello guys, girls I have some ~20 X-10 modules (marmitek) in my house (most are ~10y old and about 6 are currently broken - already). Due to recent renovation, I would like to equip some more rooms this winter, but I'm not so happy with the stability of these x-10 so I don't want to continue on this...

Re: Dimming non-dimmable LEDs

While it might actually work, this might not be a very good idea. Most people will see the 25Hz frequency, I had a cheap led bulb that had diode inside instead of a bridge rectifier. It was annoying as hell. Best method I found so far is to use a led spot on 12v that allow for pwm (pulse width modul...
