HS3 MQTT Plugin errors

Hi, Just updated my HS3 to 3.0.0.388 with the MQTT plugin 1.5.0.0 (running on RPI 2) and I have noticed the following intermittent error messages in the logs: "Dec-19 15:02:42 Warning Plugin MQTT is not processing events quickly enough or is not responding, the HS event will not be processed, q...

Re: Visonic Powermax Interface (Windows) application

to be honest i dont know, if it uses the same protocol. do you have an interface cable? the you can try if it works. regards I do have an interface cable. But this will be for a new install. I will be buying a homeseer pro box, running windows, and it would make a cleaner interface than my current ...

Re: Visonic Powermax Interface (Windows) application

Hi Bart,

Is this only for the powermax or has anyone used it with a powermaster panel?

PGM hardware setup

Hi, What I want to achieve is to be able to turn on and off a light using the * button on a keyfob. I have a PM30 with the accessory card fitted, so I can configure the keyfob to the PGM output. The light will be switched from an MQTT topic. What I am looking for help with is the hardware connection...

Re: HS3 MQTT Plugin

Hi Geert-Jan,

Thanks, I have updated the mosquitto broker to 1.4.3 and that is up and working with the plug in on the RPi2.

Just need to work on getting it to send out information!

Thanks

Re: HS3 MQTT Plugin

Hi Geert-Jan,

OK, I see - I am getting the Not Connected message.

I can ping the MQTT server IP address from the command line and other MQTT clients can connect to it so It is not a network issue.

Any thoughts?

thanks

Re: HS3 MQTT Plugin

Hi Geert-Jan, Trying your plugin with HS for Pi2 (HS3 ZEE S2 Edition 3.0.0.199 (Linux)). I have had the following results: Installing the version for the Pi (ie the DLL) was not recognised. But installing v0.61 for linux/windows was recognised. However, the logs show that the plugin is trying to con...

Re: Visonic Powermax Powerlink protocol description

Hi, My B003 messages appear to have a different format (also a Powermaster 30): 0D B0 03 39 07 FF 08 FF 02 18 24 9B 43 E6 0D B0 03 39 06 FF 08 FF 01 09 97 43 20 I have found that the last position before the checksum ( 9B & 97 ) is a counter which loops through 01 to FF increasing with each B0 0...

Re: How to detect power outage ?

Just to add that I had an outage last night and by comparing the logged uptime values I was able to tell when the outage occurred and that it lasted 3 minutes 20 seconds.

Re: How to detect power outage ?

Hi,

I live in a rural area so have a sometimes flakey power supply. I keep track of power failures by using an MQTT topic of the uptime from my RPi.

Re: plugwise design, but through wifi PlugAway

Hi, What a tragedy that this is hidden away in the smart metering forum - I only stumbled on it by accident. I have been wavering about committing to plugwise because I simply do not like either the structure of their software or their licencing terms. This seems to be just what I wanted. I agree wi...

Re: MQTT discussion topic

I also create a separate topic for every device value, for example an Oregon Scientific sensor can have 4 of them: */temp, */hum, */batt and */comfort. Cause if you want all the info of that sensor, you simply do a */#. Using an object notation for the payload does keep it more flexible, e.g. addin...

@Clement: You might want to look at the xpl security schema for formats for messages:
