Re: difference Remeha Calanta and the Remeha Calenta Ace rj11
Is the eTwist gateway also connected? If so, try disconnecting it and connect the eTwist controller OT terminals direct to the OTGW. The eTwist can be used with or without the eTwist gateway. You just lose the app/wireless functionality.

Re: difference Remeha Calanta and the Remeha Calenta Ace rj11
The original Calenta supported Opentherm controllers, including Smartpower, and on/off controllers. The newer Calenta Ace uses R-bus, which is used by the Remeha eTwist controller. It still supports Opentherm, Smartpower and on/off controllers. The eTwist can be used with Apple and Google Apps to re...

Re: Remeha Tzerra Plus supports OT Data-ID 18?
According to the boiler information table at http://otgw.tclcode.com/matrix.cgi#boilers, the Tzerra does not support ID18.

Re: NEST 3 compatability w/OpenTherm
Don't understand what the Baxi guy means by OT Protocol and OTS Protocol. I always thought there was only one Protocol. Though it could be that he is talking about a Baxi-specific version of OpenTherm, so customer are forced to buy both boiler and thermostat from Baxi. That makes me wonder if the de...

Which model of the SDC do you have? (Some models do not support Opentherm.)

Re: Wiring Remeha Calenta
If you look at the Schematic , you will see, on the left side: 1. A pair of terminals (X1-1 and X1-2) labelled "thermostat" 2. A pair of terminals (X2-1 and X2-2) labelled "boiler" Boiler terminals X12-1 and X12-2 are labelled OT (OpenTherm) Connect X2-1 and X2-2 of the Gateway t...

Re: How to check if OTGW properly assembled?
For me it's not clear if part Opentherm Interfaces measurements/checks are done with OTGW connected to boiler and thermostat The first line says: If you have built the Opentherm Gateway and it doesn't work, or you are the cautious type and prefer to check the device step by step before hooking ever...

Re: Room temperature response
unk-DataID means Unknown Data ID, i.e the boiler does not recognise the ID. So the Gateway stops sending the ID.
Are you talking about ID9 or ID16?

Re: Remeha control using RS232 port
From what I have found out, it is for all intents and purposes read only. What you'd be wanting to do (change setpoint, temperature, etc.) is apparently not possible through this interface. Just go ahead and buy/build an OTGW and you'll be set to go. There are six parameters which can be changed: 1...

Possibly true; but still too vague. How, exactly, does the Standard define response time?marcelr wrote:Twenty minutes to change the valve position to a new steady state, after a stepwise change in ambient temperature.

Thermostatic Radiator Valves
I know this is a bit "off topic". but I'm wondering if any member has access to a copy of the European Standard for Thermostatic Radiator Valves EN 215. If they do, can they please let me know the definition of "response time". Manufacturers state this as 20 minutes, 25 minutes, ...
