The ir receiver came today, not bad :) I've replaced it and now my Ampy 5227 at least responses to the requests of iec1107 tester! To comment myself, I found out that red ranges from 620 to 750nm and the SFH309FA in Udo's usb head ranges from 730 to 1120nm.
There also exists a standard SFH309 ranging from 380 to 1150nm which would fit far better for detecting red light.
My pcb may also have the same mismatching color range.
