Re: otgw partslist

@hvxl: maybe you could put a part in where the bigger transistor and the RECOM-replacement of the 7805 is mentioned? That way people know up front about the upgraded availabilities regarding powering other devices. I'm also happy to supply the text if you need me to.

Re: Websocket broken?

When I visit the page https://websocketstest.com on my iPhone (iOS 7) it says that WebSockets seem to work on my device. Is it possible to get the setpoint manipulation working without the need of WebSockets by editng the iphone.html page? Maybe you can try this solution: http://stackoverflow.com/a...

Re: Websocket broken?

At least in Apache you have to use a 'special' proxypass for websockets and in nginx it seams also:

https://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.4/mod/m ... unnel.html
https://www.nginx.com/blog/websocket-nginx/

So maybe you need to adjust this in your reverse proxy config?

Re: Proxying OTGW web server - absolute URLs

Maybe it's also a goot idea to make a configurable webroot in otmonitor, for those of us using proxypasses?

So to make all html-requests go under, for example, /otgw/status.html where the /otgw-part is configurable?

Re: OTGW with USB doesn't work.

And regarding the problem with ser2net, it seems to be an installable package on OpenWRT. Just try the following on the command line of OpenWRT if the program isn't installed already, or install it through the web interface:

Code: Select all

opkg install ser2net

Re: OTGW with USB doesn't work.

Maybe you have the same problem with the wifi-adapter as described in this post: http://www.domoticaforum.eu/viewtopic.php?f=75&t=10189#p73174 Starting the ser2net or installing the thing and configuring it properly would do the trick. It seems that when people start resetting openwrt-images all...

Re: TP-Link Ethernet converter firmware image

Maybe you should have a look at this post: domoticaforum.eu/viewtopic.php?f=75&amp ... 189#p73174.

I don't have a TP-Link my self but it sure looks like the same problem.

Re: Running extra 5V equipment of the OTGW

Thanks for all the info guys!

I guess I'll need to order two replacement components then. And nice to have this figured out for the archive and other people. 8)

Re: Running extra 5V equipment of the OTGW

My colleague has enlightened me about AC/DC-conversion and transformers. So never mind my first question about the 15V/24V conversion. But regarding the voltage of AC/DC, if you convert 15V AC to DC, you get around 20V DC (15 * (square root 2)) = 21V - (AC/DC conversion loss of around 1V) = 20V. The...

Re: Running extra 5V equipment of the OTGW

So the 15V out off the transformer is converted to 24V in the circuit? Or something else that's probably not within my electronic knowledge of the used circuitry? :D Can the transformer on the standard part list handle the extra power that is needed because it is only rated at 1.2VA. Someone else in...

Running extra 5V equipment of the OTGW

There have been some tries on this and some have succeeded. But for the sake of documentation I would like to sort this out. I want to run extra equipment off the 5V power supply of the OTGW to power, for example, a USR-TCP232 or EZL-70, or some other equipment that can do stuff. It seems that if yo...

Re: Can't start otmonitor

I'm familiar with Linux and figuring stuff out like missing libraries or missing packages. I had troubles on my netinstall on the BeagleBone to run the rasbian-binary. It just said no such file or directory. The readelf-command didn't show any strange things, ldd could find all necessary libraries a...

Re: Can't start otmonitor

Right, downloaded the source and wanted to run the stuff. But I'm running into all kind of problems. I've downloaded tclkit and ran otmonitor.vfs/main.tcl but I'm getting the following errors: ./tclkit-linux-x86 otmonitor.vfs/main.tcl attempt to provide package getopt 2.0 failed: no version of packa...

Re: Can't start otmonitor

I'm trying to run this thing on a BeagleBone Black with Debian Wheezy. It's a netinstall so there are hardly any packages. Can someone point me in the right direction where to start with getting this thing to run on Debian on Arm? I get the same error as sappien with the otmonitor-ahf-binary and don...
