Re: Danfoss Living Connect and Z-Wave SDK 4.5

– the model 014G0002 doesn't support z-wave anymore since firmware 3.02 (seriously?) Correct! – the model 014G0012 support z-wave and is newer Correct! – the new DAN_LC-13 (014G0013) supports SDK 4.5 Correct - according to Danfoss that's the *only* difference between the new model and the old model...

Re: Temperature Control

HC2 is a great Z-Wave controller, it has probably one of the nicest looking UIs out there and understandably has the best compatibility with Fibaro devices. But, it comes at quite a price when compared to something like a MiCasaVerde Vera (Lite or 3). In my opinion, the Vera is a better all round co...

Re: Random associations fibaro rgbw modules

That sounds really bizarre, certainly not heard of that before! As far as I'm aware, the only way to set an association on those devices is from the controller side - so in your case HS2 and HS3. Off the top of my head I don't think you can set an association directly on them, say by using a remote ...

Re: Danfoss Living Connect

Yes, you'd use something like a Z-Wave Secure Boiler Receiver to control / interlock the boiler. So your controller (Vera, HomeSeer, Zipato, etc) would handle all the logic - if the set-point for a room hasn't been reached, then fire up the boiler until the set-point has been reached. With the Stell...

Re: Danfoss Living Connect

I`m still in the process of changing my "Radiator Knobs" Is there anyone who actual uses the Danfoss vendor. Do you only use the Knobs or also wall sensor or anything else? There's really only two choices for Z-Wave TRVs at the moment: Danfoss - nice looking, local display and control. Yo...

Re: A few questions about Z-Wave

I am looking into the possibilities of upgrading my HA devices throughout the house. I am planning to switch over to Z-Wave. For the past few years I've been slowly doing the same - 14 years worth of accumulated HA devices covering a mish-mash of technologies is quite a task to upgrade though :( I ...

Re: HDMI Overlay device

I bought one of these about a year ago after investigating various options http://www.adafruit.com/products/609

Ashamed to say though that it's still sat on the "to-do" shelf at the moment :(

GoogleTV boxes do an overlay / pass-through thing too I believe?

Re: Looking for a battery operated 2channel z-wave device

Hi Geert, You might be in luck with http://www.visionsecurity.com.tw/ha_products_page2_154_159.html This has an external switch connection according to the manual http://www.visionsecurity.com.tw/ha_products_page2_154_159.html It's not 100% clear from the manual, but the normal reed switch sends &qu...

Re: XPL/XAP support HomeSeer

I don't think that HomeSeer supports xPL directly, although I haven't used HS for quite some time. I think that Michael (MCS) wrote a combined xPL / xAP hub that "gatewayed" xPL messages into xAP messages so that they could be used with his xAP HomeSeer plugin. So I think that you'd need t...

Re: Aeon 4-in-1, IR-sensor "becoming" a thermometer?

Definitely sounds like a Fibaro HC2 issue regarding the GUI craziness - but from what I gather it doesn't seem to do it for all the Aeon 4in1 sensors, just some of them? Very strange. I'm interested in your comment "however the sensors are not very accurate" - what makes you say that? I us...

Re: Danfoss Living Connect

Hello, Unfortunately Danfoss made a mess in 2012 by removing the Z-Wave functionality from the current range and making that range then support *only* their own controller. They then added a new model 014G0012 that has Z-Wave functionality. So for the previous model number, it depends on the firmwar...

But it's a dimmer, not an on/off switch, so it's never truly off :)

Try to experiment with the parameter 20 - it should help get the LEDs to stay "off".

Re: FGD211 - Dim level 1

How have you wired the FGD211? Is it just with live and switched live, or with neutral too? If it's just with live and switched live, then there is still current flowing through the circuit even when the module is "off" (like your Duwi).... Parameter 13 will only accept 1-98 values and mai...

Re: Problems with the Fibaro micro modules?

Fibaro are among the most reliable and flexible of Z-Wave devices available in my experience.

They tend to remove products from their web site when they're about to launch a new version of the product
