Measuring/logging room temperatures
Without software RFXcom is still a lot more expensive than the Arexx proposition. Can I use the RFXcom for other home automation purposes also? Like switching on the lights on the stairs when motion is detected at night?

@Esteban
That's not to bad. Do you know of a Dutch reseller?
Thx,
Don

Maybe, but that extra functionality will probably add to the costs. Humidity would be nice, and that's also possible with Arexx. The only thing is that it has a 0.5 degree variation.

I anyone familiar with the Arixx TL-500 system from Conrad?

It seems to do what I'm looking for.

Measuring/logging room temperatures
Hi all,
I'd like to measure the different room temperatures (3-4) in my house and preferably log the temperatures throughout the day on my pc. It would also be nice if you can just read the temperature from the sensors also.
Is there an easy not too costly solution for this?
Thanks in advance,
Don

Great!
But if I have to motion sensors and two DAIX12 modules. Can I link a motion sensor to a specific DAIX12 module?
Do I need additional stuff for that?

What if I want to use the current lights instead of additional LED lighting?
Can I still use the light switches in parallel with the motion detectors and slow on/off functionality at night?
Thx,
Don

Hi Chak,
Thank you for your quick reply and information.
If I understand correctly the motion sensors will send a signal to the DAIX12 to turn on the LEDs that are powered by the Lumotech adapter?

Hi all, I'm new to domotica, but very excited about it's possibilities. But there an awfull lot of information out there. To start with home automation I'd like to install a lighting system, preferably based on LED lighting, that will automatically go on and off when someone walks up/down the stairs...
