Re: Remeha set outside temperature using MQTT

Sorry for the late reply...

Must admit that I never got the MQTT publish function to work. Now I use MQTT to read the info and the web interface to send the outside temperature to my Remeha iSense thermostat. Works great using Fhem together with a RPI. :)

Re: Opentherm - calculating boiler control setpoint

Thanks for the info. I downloaded the iSense installation & Service manual as you mentioned which gives a lot of info and details various settings which can be configured in the iSense to optimize performance/efficiency. I will study these further. On my system the iSense does (according to the ...

Re: Remeha Avanta Boiler Reliability Survey

My boiler was replaced with a Remeha Avanta 28c + iSense thermostat in Dec. 2009. So far had no issues even when I let the water pressure drop to well under 2 bar after forgetting to top up the water level. :-( I do have somebody come around once a year to check/service it. I live in NL so don't kno...

Re: Wireless Thermostatic Radiator Head

Unfortunately my iSense thermostat doesn't allow me to remotely control the room temperature setpoint. :-)
The only setpoint I can control (using an opentherm gateway) is the boiler control setpoint.

Re: Wireless Thermostatic Radiator Head

Yes, can close down the (radiator) valves in the living room at night to 17 oC for example and keep the bedroom radiator on 21 oC. Then I need to set the (living room) thermostat setpoint high enough so that the bedroom temperature will reach 21 oC. The thermostat can only regulate the living room t...

Re: Controling my Boiler with my RPi

Hi Marcel, I also had another post running on this. (Opentherm - calculating boiler control setpoint). I will look up the article you suggested. Only managed to find the spec. for OpenTherm v2.2 from 2003 which is probably good enough for now. I also built an OTGW and using Otmonitor can get a graph...

Re: Does ClickOn - Clickoff TPC-300 work in linux?

Hi icepick, This question was posted rather a long time ago but maybe still interesting to other users since the TPC-300 is still sold, not too expensive and works reliably with good range. Good News is that it is possible to control the TPC with Linux. See domoticx.com/kaku-tpc-300-laten-schakel .....

Re: Wireless Thermostatic Radiator Head

I am also trying to create a multi-zone heating system. I want to have the boiler regulating the living room temperature in the day time. (Upstairs radiators turned down to minimum.) In the night time I want the boiler to regulate the temperature in the master bedroom. (Downstairs radiators turned d...

Re: Opentherm - calculating boiler control setpoint

Boiler is Remeha Avanta 28c, thermostat is iSense also from Remeha. Both date from Dec. 2009.

Re: OTG and modbus

You posted this some time ago so I don't know if you managed to solve your problem yet... Good News is it is possible (as are most things) but you are gonna have to do some work to get there. Quick question. Are you only interested in monitoring the data from OTGW or do you need to control the boile...

Re: Controling my Boiler with my RPi

Hi Marcel,

Any ideas on how to calculate the boiler temperature setpoint? Seems to be the "missing link" of domotica since can't find any info anywhere on the internet. (Unless I go and work for Rhema...)

Thnx,

Opentherm - calculating boiler control setpoint

Hi opentherm guru's I am trying to construct a multi-zone heating system. Basic idea is that in the daytime the boiler would use the standard (Rehema iSense) thermostat in the the living room and in the night time use an alternative temperature sensor (MAX! wall thermostat) in the master bedroom. Fo...

Re: Wireless Thermostatic Radiator Head

Hi DJ, Answer to your question #1 is yes, but with some restrictions. Normally the thermostat in your living room will control your (cv) boiler so as to keep the temperature in your living room to whatever you have set on the thermostat. With (wireless) radiator heads you can only set the temperatur...

Re: Remeha set outside temperature using MQTT

@hvxl Thanks. Is it possible to set any other setpoints via MQTT in the current version of otmonitor. Or is MQTT for reading OTGW data only. I also tried sending data directly to the OTGW via the serial port using a bash script whilst otmonitor is running but that seems to mess things up. Guess too ...

Remeha set outside temperature using MQTT

My OTG is connected to a Rehema iSense thermostat (from 2009) I am using otmonitor running as a daemon on a raspberry pi and communicate with otmonitor using MQTT. Everything works great as far as reading out data from the thermostat and boiler. Now I would like to go a step further and send the &qu...
