Re: opentherm gateway stops working
Now I have a cronjob that cuts the power and restores it after 5 minutes if I don't receive any updates from OTGW. Interesting... what are you using to "cut the power"? Could be a life saver when you realize your otgw (or another device) is stuck and you can't simply reset by issuing the ...

Re: opentherm gateway stops working
Last summer my OTGW stopped working in a very similar way. When it used to happen, it didn't respond to commands (including reset commands). Since I didn't connect a reset button, I used to pull the plug and reconnect in a few seconds. Once, it didn't work. I pulled the plug again and reconnected it...

Re: Opentherm Gateway Graph (web page) enhancement request
Hi, The span value in otmonitor.tcl sets how long the data is being retained by the monitor (at least that's my understanding) Beyond that you will also need to update the graphing capability in "graph.svg.tmpl"; the variable you are looking for is maxx (default 1440). Ysbrand Thanks Ysbr...

Re: Opentherm Gateway Graph (web page) enhancement request
On line 20 of otmonitor.tcl, change 7200 to 7500 for 2 hours and 5 minutes. :) I tried putting a value of 43200 to get 12 hrs worth graph throught my web browser but I still ger 2 hours... did I misunderstand the meaning of the "span" variable? Is it for the web interface or for the GUI o...

Re: Changing the native language to Dutch on this forum?
As a non-Dutch speaking user, of course I'd stick to English. I'm Italian, I live in a country that doesn't give much attention to learning languages, but I had many chances to meet Dutch people and I have always been impressed by the ease they showed speaking other languages, even Italian, just aft...

Re: Safer DH key exchange in SSL mode
Somewhere around that time I switched the Tcl TLS package I used from version 1.6 to 1.6.4. The new one has much more current encryption methods, but apparently also more bugs. The old one dated back to 2008 and could only handle ssl 2, 3, and tls 1.0. So that was really no good anymore. Oh I see.....

Re: OT wiring specs
Cool... thanks! The connection between toon and the toon boiler interface is a long, standard thermostat lead from the living room to the attic. By the way... What do you mean by "standard thermostat lead"? Is it something as thin as an Ethernet cable or is it more like an electric wire us...

Re: Safer DH key exchange in SSL mode
I've been playing around with ciphers lately to try and make my OTMonitor usable in https mode with Chrome/Firefox. After trying some random ciphers with no appreciable result, I ended up scanning my OTMonitor with sslscan to get a list of supported ciphers, from which I was planning to select some ...

Re: otmontor registry settings
OK I found it's a MS technique called Registry Virtualization... msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/window ... s.85).aspx You think your software will write into some HKLM\Software, but the O.S. will actually reroute it to HKEY_USERS\<User SID>_Classes\VirtualStore\Machine\Software That explains the e...

Re: otmontor registry settings
That's more a question for a Microsoft forum. OTmonitor only explicitly stores the settings under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software. The other copies are probably due to some of the usual Windows weirdness. Feel free to delete these settings to start fresh. I expect that if you delete them in one place, ...

otmontor registry settings
Hi there, Yesterday, launching otmonitor.exe as usual on my Windows box, I stumbled in a nasty error that's too long to be posted here (...actually I've been too lazy to take a screnshot  ) but suggests something went wrong accessing the settings saved in the registry. When I tried to run an o...

OTMonitor on Atheros SOC (TP-Link TL-WR710N)
Hi all, I was playing around with my TP-Link TL-WT710N, putting together the needed setup to put on wireless the serial communictions from my OTGW, then I had a weird idea... I said to myself: "hey, the TP-Link is running OpenWRT, that's basically a Linux distro... Maybe it will run the daemon ...

Re: TP-Link Ethernet converter firmware image
Does anybody have links to TL-WR703N and/or TL-710N working openwrt images so I can get my OTGW connected to my Vera Lite. Jim! Here you can get OpenWRT for a lot of devices based on the same Atheros SOC: http://downloads.openwrt.org/latest/ar71xx/generic/ Better check your device wiki page to unde...
