Re: Aeon Labs Z-Stick Series 2

quick note for other people like luria: ACT devices do support the instant update notification, but you have to associate the devices with your USB controller in Association group 1. This is (as far as I could find out) to get around the Lutron patent. Hopefully this helps others with getting more o...

Re: Duwi switch status change?

This is because of a (higly payed) patent owned by Lutron. Instant status notifications violate this patent, so companies have to pay them if they want to implement it in there products. (talk about monopolizing a market) A few of the older switches (ACT) have the capability to be paired to your con...

fs20 central heating question(s)

Hey all, I was wondering, I've seen a few posts about Conrad's FS20 system here, but nothing is clear about this system to me. 1) Am I right that with a FHZ1300PC I can communicate with a FHT80B, but not directly with a "Stelmechanisme" / "Actuator" ? 2) If I have a pc with a FHZ...

I remember reading about that.
I believe the values are steady, but it was in the script the way it is because of 'lazyness'

Dan kun je idd beter voor de SmartQ / SmartV apparaten gaan (staan ook op het forum)
zie http://www.dealextreme.com of http://www.jiongtang.com
Ik had hem een tijdje terug van jiongtang voor omgerekend +/- 140 euro en ik moet zeggen: Ben er erg blij mee voor die prijs.

Re: to X10 or not to X10?

Not!.... Seriously, Most people who have used X10, have learned not to use it. Cons: 1) The more devices you have, the less stable your network will be 2) With every new device you plug in, you might take down a bit of your X10 network (which you will only realise when devices do not respond to comm...

Re: My home automation project / software

If you want something stable, I suggest putting in the money and go for Z-Wave, since it's 2-w...
