Re: Database on Windows x64
I've had similar problems when trying to set up a ODBC connection from PHP to the Plugwise database. There is a read-only setting when you go to your system-DSN connections where you set up the ODBC connection to the access db click on Options and select the read-only. It might be that this does the...

creating your own 'rfid' system?
actually, the motion sensor wouldnt work anyway ;) It would stop sending the signals when you're not moving (ie. asleep) The topic Alexander posted looks nice, But since >100m range would not work for me I dont know if I'd have a use for it. Has anyone ever looked at http://www.openbeacon.org/start....

creating your own 'rfid' system?
Hey all, I've been playing around with a few ways for having some form of presence management for me and my girlfriend in the form of active rfid and most of the options just arent very stable (and the ones that probably are, are priced way to high). So I was thinking, would it be possible to rebuil...

Need help with creating a Plugwise XML file
Actually, I dont know which version this is,
I believe this one is from before when they started putting their version number in it.
At least, I can't find it in any screen.
Edit: I checked the file version of the executable:
1.3.0.0
Assembly Version: 1.3.3237.31422

Source code help AXIS 2400 videoserver please
If you can get the videoserver to dump the jpg files in a folder with different names (timestamps?) You can have PHP / ASP or something to pick the newest image, show it, and also give arrow buttons to scroll to other images ;). Also: You would probably need a third script that checks the folder and...

Need help with creating a Plugwise XML file
Hi Marek, You need to use the Module object for realtime stats instead of the Appliance object. The only problem with that is: the page will wait untill it has communicated with the plug in question: If that plug is 100m furter (communicating via 7 other plugs) it might take a long time to load the ...

Z-Wave heating/cooling solution (thermostat)?
I bought a Velleman VM110 for this. It has 8x 25v relay switches (+ 2 analogue in, 2x out, 6 dig. in) and has an API for easy integration. Just connect 2 wires to your heater (I connected them to my old thermostat), When you close the relay, the heating starts. todo: Add a few Danfoss TRV for contro...

Sebastiaan, I can create such a system, but I'll need more specific info about your needs with this (what info to display etc.). Because I don't have 50 posts yet on the forum I can't email you. If you send me an email on m_regenbogen AT hotmail DOT com we can talk about it in more detail ;) <i>admi...

USB lan hub
I've been using the USB extenders for about 2 years now, running up to 30m. As long as the receiving end uses it's own power adapter, it's very stable (not one drop out in these 2 years. The receiving end has a USB hub with both a USB Soundcard with mic and speakers and a USB Wireless PC Lock. Both ...
